sometimes those scales just call to me its soo bad!

I haven't been on a scale in I guess about two or three weeks I suppose so I decided to give it a go yesterday and when I read the numbers I was certain that it was probably wrong so I refused to record it. So I gave it a go again today and this time it was a half pound lighter. Could it be?? Have I been losing weight without even trying? It appears so. I'm down 6.5 pounds which I'm sure is mostly water weight since I've cut back on the soda. I still kind of don't want to believe it and I feel negative talk sneaking in but I'm trying to battle it and mostly I plan on exercising today to keep those numbers going down.

I went and bought new sports bras the other day. I went into Target, grabbed the size I assumed I neededand went home. Tried them on and sure enough TOO BIG...so I returned the 38D's and am now in a 38C...amazing!

Then I treated myself to the darling party dress I wanted...but the zipper is weird and it's tiny and there is one spot that gave Jason and I so much trouble. I know I can get into the dress...in fact it's going to be too big in the top...so I am going to take it in to someone and see what can be done. I'd go back to Target to return it for another, but it was the only one they had in my size.

I am still in such a quandry as to what to do about the bad bridesmaid. She has time to sit on MySpace and answer all these silly surveys and post them (so narcissistic) but cannot answer a simple email. I figured that maybe I could either offer to swing by her office to get them $ from her sicne she works by me and that way she wouldn't have to give up any of her "free time" to spend with me...OR I think the skirts are coming in this week and I can just call/email her and ask her outright "Do you want the skirt?" If she says yes, then I can say that she won't get it until she pays up and that if she doesn't want it I'll keep it and we can leave it at that. She also hasn't ordered her top...and will keep finding reasons to not have $ for that either...but she keeps going shopping, she got another tattoo, she went and spent a boatload of $ on hair, tanning and nails....so you see what I am getting at. It's all lies. And she keeps finding ways to keep her husband from spending time with Jason. Back in the day theyw ere together all the time...and now...every week it is a different excuse, and if they do spend time together she is always there. I feel like this nice man is caught in the middle between a friend he sees being treated shabbily and his wife....of course the wife will win out..but she is becoming such a psycho wench.

I am so sorry to go on and on about this. I'm really not this self-absorbed.

SUE MARIE!!!! Welcome back...how on earth are you? It's been sooooo long and I am so happy to hear from you. Way to go with getting back on track and with school and everything!!!

Julee - I have a friend like this...although it's not the SAME situation...but she complains about being overweight, but eats terribly, and when she does, she just says "something else I shouldn't have", and she says she has no money to join a gym, but she goes out and gets a tatoo and another piercing. So I understand...I think you'd be perfectly in the right cutting her out of the wedding...it's YOUR wedding after all! It's a shame that she's getting in between Jason and his friend. How long have they been married? If she's that horrid, it's probably not going to last TOO long. A man can only take so much...heh. I wish you luck!

Julee~ I have two friend couples and I see this with both of them,, the women are jealous of everything they do. and make the men feel quilty for doing anything that does not involve them,, Both of the men have lost friends over this, and neither of the women have friends at all.. it is such odd behavior.. Never seen the beat,, I steer vey clear of them, they just are annoying and send out bad vibes!

Well I just came back from the doctors and all is well. Liver function tests are still on the high side, but she said it's not enough to worry about and we are going to just leave it at that. I showed her the white 'stuff' under my tummy and she said it's a yeast infection as I suspected, so I have some cream for that. I'm to stay on these anti depressants, and go see her again in two weeks so she can see if I am still ok, and am still losing weight. You should have seen her face when I told her how much I had lost in the two weeks since I last saw her. She was so happy for me. I'm happy for me, Oh and on doctors orders I was told to treat myself for losing weight, so I went and bought a lovely new handbag

Patti - yep you have to keep off those scales for definite now so you don't see if that naughty lb creeps back up on you

And yes, I am definitely on cloud 9, I wish I could bottle this feeling and have some when I do weigh and haven't lost any weight!

Tracey - that is awesome that you lost so much weight. 6.5 and a half gone and without making a huge effort. Imagine how much you will be losing when you are 100% back on track. Well done

Julee - don't you just hate it when you buy stuff and take it home only to find it doesn't fit, or doesn't do up. or has any kind of fault which means you have to take it back I hope you can get something done about the zip on the party dress, or perhaps they can order you in another dress like that in your size that hasn't got a fiddly zipper.

I am wondering why that bridesmaid from **** wants to be your bridesmaid at all. Seems like it's just another way to get at you rather than wanting to be a part of it all. I wouldn't even give her the opportunity of saying no to the skirt, I would just tell her that she obviously hasn't got the time or money to be as involved as you need her to be, and that you think it best that she isn't a bridesmaid after all. Of course it's easy for me to say that, harder for you to do it I am sure. I hope you work something out with her.

Well , I cant seem to focus on studying anymore for my keyboarding test, however, i feel I have not retained any info I have studied,, and I am struggling with the 10 pager on torture,, only have 3.5 pages. and am at a loss.. shewwwwwwwwwww

Patti: Congrats on -3. That is so great. I'm having a hard time not jumping on the scale now with all of you loosers. LOL. I have to make myself wait until Thursday, which is my normal weigh in day.

Well, I had my talk with my BF last night about money. I feel kind of bad about it this morning because I only depressed him about the situation. More and more I see the parallels between this and dieting, and I know for myself that I was never spurred to real action by getting all depressed about my situation. I need to figure out how to bring this into the positive and turn it into a kind of adventure – a journey we are going to embark on together that will end in much better financial stability and overall wellbeing. Money might not buy you happiness but lack of it can sure make you miserable.

I mentioned something at dinner about the fact that I thought our only solution was to do something drastic like move. He doesn’t like the idea and is hoping that he can find another solution. I said that he needs to show me how, and if he can find a way then so be it. The thing is, this isn’t a little bit of debt – we’re talking $30K and there is no way that will be paid off in a few years just by eating out a bit less and taking his lunch to work. Drastic action must be taken and so far, although he did ok for a while, it just isn’t happening. I refuse to help pay off the debt for things that I didn’t receive any benefit from, but I will budget with him and keep my expenses low. I am almost 33 and with that kind of debt there is no way we could buy a house anytime soon. I see what is happening with my parents (they are having some money trouble) and it really scares me (I need to remember to mention this to him – I forgot to say anything last night).

Anyway, I should be back to work. Congrats Ammi, Tracey, Patti and all the other losers! Hopefully I will be up to personals tonight.
