Hello Everyone…I’ve been rather busy the last few days, so I’m going to try to play catch up.
DogPal – Hey there! Glad to see you as well! Thanks for the congrats. The pool is being used very well! We just took it off the cover (from when we set it up for winter) like 3 weeks ago. However, we have drained it. I redesigned the backyard :-p

Actually it’s for the better. I redesigned the backyard with a floating deck around the pool. This is where the desk is ontop of the surface rather than having cement posts in the ground. This is so I can work with the permit that I want. Anyways, James wants a Jacuzzi and gazebo and a small get away patio in the back of the yard, so everythings been changed. So right now the pool is drained and we’re setting up a new sand box for it to sit on. It’s not to much of a move, just slightly angled it. Yard work has been slow (money situation). Money lets us know when we can do things hehehe… How have things been for you?
AmmiUK – Way to go on those 6lbs gone!
MsCrockett – I like the calorie counting. I tried Metabolife one time and it just really messed with me. I’m not much of a medication person, I won’t even take Tylenol if I can help it, but I guess I got desperate and wanted to try anything to loose the weight. I will never do it again! I’ve looked into many other diet programs, but I think counting calories is good for me. I found it works best if you cut back slowly. When I cut back dramatically to 1600 calories from my average 3200-3400 calorie per day intake, I lost the weight, but I also weakened my immune system and got sick then got well then got sick again right away. So I took a break to recover and then I cut back slowly. So far so good

I’m addicted to sweets and soda (which I’ve cut back on), so I had a really hard time with Atkins and South Beach. My sister in law is on South Beach and she really likes it. Glad it is working out for you
Jillybean – HELLO

Good to see you again!
NotTheCheat – Yes I understand about the credit cards. I managed to get his paid off and now he’s grounded for a while from using it

I told him only in emergencies. It was hard for us, because we too need to buy particular things and just didn’t have the money and therefore it went on the credit card. So we ended up cutting costs in other areas, like coupons for grocery shopping, or even using store brand items. Then we cut back on going out to eat, or going out with friends… little by little things started to balance out. Course we’ve had a few raises here and there, so that helps to. But sometimes keeping a log of everything you spend, and seeing where it all goes really helps. That’s how we figured out that we were spending much more than we thought when we went out. It make look like 10 bucks here and there, but it really adds up. About the calorie counting, sometimes sticking to a certain number every day gets the body stuck in a rut. I found if you cycle your calories, it keeps the body guessing. Like for example, say I’m on a 2000 calorie diet. Eat 1700 one day and 2300 the next day. Or spread the left over calories through out the week. As long as at the end of the week your calories total out to be 14000 you are good to go. That’s not to say you should eat 3000 one day and a 1000 here and there. Also, if you think at 2000 you are in a rut, try cutting back to 1800, or increase your activity. It’s hard when you hit a plateau and just aren’t going anywhere. Hope this helps some.
Toofatforu – About the sugar free cookies. I haven’t tried them, but I can relate to the sugar cravings. My biggest thing now is to get my water intake to increase. I find that after so long, I can’t stand water anymore. So I got those Crystal Light To-Go packs. I love the lemonade and the fruit punch flavors. That’s about the only thing that I’ve tried that uses sugar alternatives. But it’s got that sweet taste and my body seems to handle it even tho it’s Splenda and not real sugar. It seems to help my cravings.
Xena2005 Oh that’s when you commit for two weeks to loose 2lbs. They don’t do that here anymore? It’s been a while since I’ve been on, but they used to hold them every 2 weeks.
Zelma – WOW! You are an inspiration! You look wonderful!
Okie ladies, I tried to get to as many posts as I could, at least to answer those who messaged me... If I missed anyone, I’m sorry

I gotta run to class now. Hey before I go, does anyone here know if they dropped the 2x2 challenge for this forum? Just curious
Take care ladies!
