I would suggest mix ins. I usually get either Dannon or Brown Cow in Vanilla or Plain in the big containers. I add chocolate protein powder and it has almost a pudding consistency/taste. I bet you could actually use a little pudding powder in whatever flavor you want.

I personally don't force myself to eat something I don't like. I can get my nutrition from other sources. If I don't like a certain fruit or vegetable or whatnot that's supposed to be super healthy, then oh well. I don't worry about it.

I second the idea of getting your yogurt in a smoothie. A great way to get more fresh fruit and anti-oxidant rich berries into your diet as well. I’ve been using the plain Silk brand “soygurt” since I’m trying to cut down on my animal products. It has all the live cultures of yogurt but in dairy-free form

Oh my gosh, I love yogurt; it's one of my favorite snacks.

But like Glory, I am really picky about the brand. I read labels and choose only those with the active cultures and without any sweeteners or other additives.

Brands? I shop almost exclusively at Trader Joe's and love their Cream Line brand of plain yogurt. The full-fat is rich and wonderful and so good that I can eat it plain. But it is a rare treat. The non-fat is really good with mix-ins; it's a little tart by itself. I sometimes mix in vanilla protein powder and sliced fresh fruit. Or I mix in Trader Joe's Organic Fruit Spread (is just fruit, no added sweeteners). Yummy! If you don't have a Trader Joe's near you, brands like Horizon and Stonybrook make very nice plain yogurts.

I've seen the Fage with honey at Trader Joe's and was intrigued but didn't want to pay that much for yogurt. But I learned just today that a big difference between Greek and regular yogurt is that Greek has been drained, which gives it the thicker texture. To drain yogurt, try this: Line a small sieve or rice strainer with a paper towel or coffee filter and set over a bowl. Drain the yogurt in the refrigerator until it is thick, usually several hours to overnight.

I like Yoplait Source (it is fat free) - and I like stirred yogurt. I really don't like the stuff with the fruit at the bottom - waaaay too sweet.

I find Yoplait Source to have less calories and more protien! I havent compared to EVERYTHING but to a few.

My mom hated hated hated the stuff, until I made her try the whipped yogurt. She loves it!! She still wont eat the regular stuff, but eats the whipped like dessert now.

I like to stay away from the store brand yogurts, I find they just arent a good yogurt. I love both Dannon and Yoplait. The Creme savers are good too But, Id give the whipped stuff a try first.

What was I thinking with my first post on this subject, looks like a 5 year old was talking . I must have been tired.

If you love yogurt and shop at Trader Joe's, have you tried the Italian yogurt that comes in little glass jars? It's a little cheaper than the Fage. La Netura or something like that. They have 3 flavors: apricot, mixed berry and cinnamon. I'm a big fan of the cinnamon.

Try the Fage! The full fat with honey is 200 calories and 12 grams of fat - I tried it once but I'm just not ready for 12 grams of fat in yogurt. I buy the 2% and add my own honey. Tastes just as good to me and has 4 grams of fat. I know it's pricey, but if you like yogurt, you MUST try it!

I haven't tried the Italian yogurt. Honestly, I don't recall seeing it but I usually just grab the TJ's nonfat and continue shopping. But I will look for it. And after reading your two recommendations, I think I will splurge and try the Fage. In fact, I am draining TJ's nonfat and will mix it with honey and fresh strawberries for a snack this afternoon and will compare the two. Thanks!!

I consider the Fage a splurge too I don't get it very often, but I do love it!

I love yoplait and dannon too the fat free kind but I hate fruit in my yogurt ... Im really not a dairy person in general...so I get the vanilla flavour and get some whole grain granola and sprinkle some in or I use that Fiber One cereal as a little topping to boost content. Dunking apple slices in vanilla yogurt is awesome, so are strawberries

Yoplait Boston Creme. Tastes just like the inside of a doughnut. Well, almost.
