  • Glad to see everyone so positve today
I am extremely energetic and perky the last few days; I think it has something to do with the weather(spring is coming, spring is coming and my dad suggested a vitamin regimen for me that cvould have something to do with it . Who knows, who cares it feels great to feel this great. On day 10 of phase 1, and I am thinking if I just think about it I am going to finally do this. My scale( the new demon scale ), says I'm down 3 lbs since I bought it, but I'm not changing my ticker quite yet.

[B]Greek[B]- I slipped also on Phase 1 for a brief moment, but jumped right back on. Forgive yourself and move on. Hey we're only human.

Ruth- I would love to see a deer. I am such and animal lover and the only deer I have ever seen is in a zoo and I almost hit one driving.

Schatzi You are cracking me up.

Well, need to start me domesticated goddess duties and lots of homework.
    Have a great day
  • Yesterday's menu:
    B: 2 eggs, 2 mushrooms, 1/4 c ff cheese, 2 slices turkey bacon, 1 cup milk
oh yea, and coffee. I always have coffee, I just forget to mention it sometimes
    S: 2 stalks celery
L: 1.5 cups burrito soup, spinach salad w/goat cheese, oil & vinegar, bb brownie, diet rite
S: sf jello and lima beans (weird combo)
D: black bean & chicken taco salad (this was so awesome, the recipe is on the 3FC board), fudgepop
S: 3 bb brownies. Oops that was because I made a new batch and subbed peanut butter for some of the oil. They are quite tasty.
2 liters of water while at work, plus whatever I drank at home

I encourage everyone to give that salad recipe a try: so awesome! It helped my mood. Also helping my mood: my shipment of shirataki noodles arrived! I'll let y'all know if they were worth the obnoxious shipping prices. I learned about them through www.hungry-girl.com, which if you don't read, you should. The recipe I'm making tonight is called Hungry Girl Fedo - fettucine alfredo for 80 calories!?! I might just have a double serving. The noodles are tofu, BTW.
I also had a food a-ha moment. I started thinking about new desserts I could try and realized, duh! Parve! Parve is a kosher term meaning it contains neither meat nor milk. I found a chocolate mousse recipe that uses tofu and a raspberry sauce that would be safe for phase 2. I'm going to SBD the recipe, and I'll let you know how that turns out too.
  • Ohhhhh OUCH Schnatzo! They need a *wince* smiley. Been there sweetie. I'm not at my biggest boob size anymore, but it hurts even now at my smallest size since 4th grade (still not small... finally down to a D.) Owie. I had a heck of a time the one time I wore a regular bra to kick boxing. Hop hop hop hop hop hop hop. Ouch. Never forgot again though! I feel your pain girlie.

Dare, Nike Shox you say? I may have to see if I can find some someplace. I hate to spend a fortune, but while I was running, my left knee and hip started to bug me just a little, and today my left hip is just killing me. I'm going running again tomorrow, and hopefully I'll be able to walk down the isle without hobbling.

Now that I'm happy about the dress, I'll definitely post a picture. I'm going to make Terry be Picture Boy all day Saturday. I'm usually the one with the camera, but I'll be a bit busy. I think it's going to be a very pretty spring wedding. Too bad it's supposed to be cold and rainy.

Well, time to investigate running shoes and eat my lunch. Talk to you all soon.

    Lisa
  • Good afternoon chickies!
I've got to get on here earlier! You girls are on the ball! I'm so busy in the mornings that if I don't get up with the chickens I don't get to post til after lunch! Well, I missed Monday night aerobics at the gym but my aunt told me they're having a "Biggest Loser" competition! I'm all psyched! She thought it would be something that I'd be interested in beings I've already started to lose. She asked me about what diet I was doing and I started telling her but there was so much commotion with ds going out the door to baseball practice, baby fussing, and dd crying for a snack! I guess I'll get the chance tonight at aerobics! The two times I didn't show everyone was asking for me cause they say "Tara's always here"! I do much better going to something like that because I have to be held accountable. If I relied on myself to get in the floor and workout....it would never happen! Well girls I better run! Have a great day! Tara
  • Weezle, yes the Nike Shox are pretty awesome. Pricey though, around here (in southern Wisconsin) they run anywhere from $90 (usually last year's style) all the way up to around $150. I found a pair for around $100 that I absolutely LOVE. I had a hard time forking over the cash for them, but to be quite honest, it was a good choice. Plus I figure they'll last me a few years, and hopefully save a few years on my ankles and knees!!

Let me know if you find some and what you think of them!

    Nicole
  • Afternoon chickadees! Drinking an afternoon cup of coffee with my SB cookies as a sweet snack. Been doing pretty well... actually yesterday was a bum day, left my Real Estate key at home, locked my keys in my car (sounds familiar?) I'm just so absent minded!!!
I'm down another couple of pounds YAAAAAY! BF and I are going to have a romantic evening just the 2 of us since I'll be out of town this weekend... really looking forward to it. I was thinking I might go as far as to light some candles and stuff... OH la la!

Anyways, enough silliness, caffeine is probably going to my head. It is too darn cold outside!
  • Hi Ladies

I conquered the rotaries,I couldn't believe how easy they were when I went around them.Hope it that way tomorrow afternoon. That when hubby has his next apointment.

Today was a signing in on different forms and he doesn't have to go for 4 months. Doctor checked all his tests from Boston and he only has to go now for the 6 weeks.

We're going Tomorrow for 2 other Cat Scans at two different hospitals and than at 2PM at the Cancer Center for a simulated treatment[puting marks on the chest for the radiation to zap the spot.]Than MON of next week the radition/kemo treatments will start.Doctor is trying to get us in early in the morning.

Now for Beaching. I'm going to stick to the SB as best as I can. If the treatments are in the morning I know I can fix 2 great meals and eat the SB replacement bar for breakfast. I got my power walking in 30 mins. for two days so far.

Hope you'll all doing fine on the BEACH,either Losing or Shrinking.

    Hugs BB
  • Hi, guys! Busy day at work. Today is our 10th wedding anniversary so I sent DH to bring food back from Pei Wei. We've never tried them before since they are relatively knew to the area. The SB Dining guide listed some good stuff and I have to say the Mongolian Shrimp with brown rice was wonderful. I'm not sure why they say it is two servings. I guess I have been used to bigger servings since I like lots of veggies. Oh, well, I ate more than I should have but it was wonderful. Unfortunately I was busy on the phone while trying to eat but at least I got to eat.

I know Iknow, sounds like an o L d person problem, but I use to walk/jog 4-5 miles a day 4 times a week and got a horrid limp and pain in hip... try this: take yer palm and push down on your hip bone... or pull up under neath... feel a pain? If so, well... thats what I felt WAIT!!! I might have bursitis in my Boobs!!! ...........
    ok gals gotta jet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!
  • Schnatzo, I've had bursitis in my right hip in the past (common in people with fibromyalgia, which I have) and so I almost wondered if that's what it was in my left hip from running. (Also have had bursitis in both knees. Queen of the Injured over here.) I really think that some better shoes will help me out a bit though, because I was wearing walking shoes to run. Here's hoping!!!! I'm going shopping tomorrow morning so hopefully I'll have new shoes for my run at 1:00.

    Have a great night girlies!
