Hello All,
Thursday morning, and another hours housework AKA Ammi's exercise lol has been achieved. Today I washed down all the upstair doors and door frames, and also washed the front door externally. It's amazing how long it all took. And although I didn't sweat too much, I am sure all that wiping motion is a good toning exercise for my arms

Tomorrow I have the fun of cleaning the downstairs doors. Then nothing over the weekend coz the kids are home, and then on Monday it's bathroom cleaning day lol. I really feel great getting the house spic and span and knowing it's helping me lose weight too
PJ - the surgery I had initially in 2003 was I had my bowel removed and an ileostomy formed. I suffered terribly with Ulcerative Colitis and my bowel started to tear, so it was emergency surgery. The following year I had to have my rectum removed and butt sewn shut, yep I have a Barbie butt LOL. After that surgery I ended up getting an abscess and fistula internally, so the January surgery was to have muscle taken from my thighs and to have it used to fill the fistula (posh word for a hole lol). I am mainly recovering from that surgery but it all links back to having the ostomy, so that is why I referred to being glad that I had it done. Thank you for your wishes that I fully heal soon.
As for the girls, my daughter is 14, and my step daughter will be 14 in November. I got them the bunks when they were 12. I figure they aren't considered childish things anymore especially as they make bunk beds for adults now. OK so there is no bottom bed, but the top bed is a double one, and underneath that you can put furniture. Ideal if you have a small room. I hope your kids will love their bunks and don't fight over who gets the top one
The recipe for cauliflower cheese is really simple, boil up a cauliflower. Then you take a pint of semi skimmed milk, use a small amount of it with 25 gms of cornflour and make it into a paste. Boil up the rest of the milk, then take it off the heat to add the cornflour mix. Stir all the time to make sure lumps don't form, then put it back on the heat. Then you mix in 100 gms of low fat red leicester (or cheddar) cheese. Stir til it all melts and then pour over the cauliflower. I then put it under the grill to brown. Depending on how much cauli you use you can spread the meal over 2 days. That's what I do, and it works out 6.5 points per serving. The recipe actually says to fry onion and mushrooms in a tablespoon of olive oil, and add that to the cauli as well, but I wasn't too keen on that
Lilion - great job on the weight loss,
just got to get that official weigh in result now. I think the odd treat is a good way of helping a plateau get shifted because it must put a fire under your metabolism when you all of a sudden start to eat differently to your usual.
Sharon - thanks, I hope my wound will heal too, especially before October. I will hate it if I do have to have more surgery. Especially as twice out of my three surgeries I have ended up with MRSA, and it is still rife in the hospital with patients getting it more and more rather than less and less!!
That's great you tried on some size 20 jeans and that they fit, what a great moment. I will be thrilled when I fit into something size 20 +, rather than 30 +. Do you watch Kath and Kim the Aussie show? Every time I hear somebody talk about low rise jeans I think of a scene where Kim says she loves low rise bumsters, and then they show her with jeans so low, much lower than they are meant to be, that they show the crack of her bum, and she isn't slim, so the fat hangs over the top lol. It's so funny.
Julee - tha't s fantastic weight loss this week, I am sure it won't take you long to lose that next 5 lbs taking you to your drivers licence weight. What a celebration that will be huh!!
Well take care all and happy dieting
Hugs,
Ammi
