  • Well...it does help that I'm the only one awake to see me doing the dvd in that get-up! ...and then the pool is just a few feet out the back door.
  • Quote: What is the Joerge (sp?) excersie thing? I never heard of that.
Jorge Cruise. He's an author and has a couple of books, the most recent is The 3 Hour Diet. I was using his other books, 8 Minutes in the Morning and 8 Minutes in the Morning for Extra Easy Weight Loss for a while to improve my eating habits and start strength training. He's got a website too, but it isn't very helpful and mainly is there to get you to join his online community. If you're interested in finding a little more about the plan I recommend you take a look--->http://www.jorgecruise.com
  • My advice: Start today! Don't wait until a Monday. When I finally decided to do something about my eating - I realized that starting on a Monday was ridiculous - I started the very next day.

About swimming: I take my DD to swimming lessons 2 times a week at a public pool and let me tell you - there are people of all ages and sizes - no one thinks a thing about it. I don't even really notice. Women of all ages and sizes walk around naked in the showers! The first time I saw that I was like, "AHH - A LOT of naked people!" But, anyway, people are typically too caught up in what they are doing to notice you.

Start measuring your food so you know how much you are eating - until you are able to just tell without measuring. I use FitDay to track my food and I LOVE it!

Oh, most importantly, come here - it's a great place to be!

    Good Luck!
  • about the naked women, Laura. Have you gotten to the point where you can stand around naked and talk to the naked women? It's really kind of amusing when you realize you've just been standing around naked for the last 10 minutes talking to another naked woman.
  • Sheila! No - I don't get in the pool with DD so I'm always dressed. I've felt a little out of place before though - like maybe I should strip down and join the conversation!
