soon2Bfab - I think I might agree with you there... the only reason I've been successful this time with this "diet" (I call it a way of eating, because after phase 1 I just kinda added things here and there, and if I had a BAD BAD day, I just kept on going, not quitting, or starting over).... alright, so the reason? I didn't tell anyone but my bf and best friend. I just said I wasn't feeling good if people offered me bad food, or said I was going thru a "cooking phase" and thats why I was bringing all my lunches. It worked! I suspect it's out now that they can tell I've lost weight. I'm babbling (I was stuck at home today... because I didn't want to get dressed ). Btw, isn't the transition from 18-20 to a 16 the most gratifying thing in the WORLD?

Aimee, I'm so sorry about those girls at work.
I think Soon2bfab is right. I think that some slim people feel they've got an "edge" over us chubbies. They feel superior and in control. When they see that we're getting slimmer and feeling more confident about ourselves, they panic. Which I think says something about their own lack of self-confidence.

Swim - yes a 18 to a 16 is wonderful! I'm looking forward to sz 14!!

I can't wait until I've shrunk back to a size 16! Oh man.. it makes me drool... EXCEPT! Get this! I was doing SOO good today, good breakfast, good snack, good lunch, and BAD BAD dinner!

So the girls at my work are all chubbies, one always prizes herself on being thinner than everyone... but she's not. Man, the girls at my work aggrivate me! *growl*

Soon, you are so right. I wasn't the largest at work, but I wasn't the smallest, either. There is one young girl here who is very tiny. When I started on SBD, I didn't make a big thing of it to anyone. If I was offered something sweet, I just smiled and said "No thank you," and if they pressed, I just used the excuse of I'm too full right now, or don't feel like it, whatever, to put people off.

Now, I am the smallest of the ladies at work and the rest can't figure out how I accomplished it while they weren't watching. However, the previous smallest one doesn't talke to me anymore...that's OK, too. I know she is just jealous and can't handle it.

See swim....I'm right! AND the girl that made the remark about my behind....she tried on clothes today (I work in retail) & she was wearing a size bigger than me - HA! Who's behind looks different now!?

I totally agree that it's a jealousy thing!!!! They want to be thinner and lose weight like you, but instead of doing the work to get there, they are mean b/c they are too lazy or not motivated. So, they are mad that you are strong enough!

About losing weight in the thighs/legs. I have found the the dreaded beast of an elliptical trainer is doing the trick for me!!! My pants fit sooo much better in the legs! I finally have noticed a difference in my belly too. However, my butt is definitly looking different. I won't say better, but different. I think my weight is shifting from my chest to my butt. I noticed when I lost my first 100lbs that after about 25, it started shifting the weight. I would lose an inch in my upper body and gain an inch in the lower. Strange, isn't it?

Anyway, the elliptical is really great. It's hard in the beginning, but you slowly build up your endurance and now I'm up to 40 minutes!!!
