Good morning ladies!

Well, I have been home sick since Tuesday afternoon, I am back at work today (I have interviews all day), but if it wasn't for that, I think I would still be home. Really bad cold, congested, heavy chest etc...DH and I leave in the morning for our weekend getaway, I hope I am feeling up to it!!

I am going to try to get thru all the posts!!!

Congrats to all the losers!!!! I am doing pretty well this week staying OP, but no exercise!!!

I've been doing good too~ hope for another loss on Saturday. So far school is not going to be a walk in the park, that is for sure. One prof gets all agitated if someone asks a question but never fully explains what hes doing....prob and stats.

I feel guilty for being at home this week and watching bf go to work everyday but I am starting a part time child care gig next week! Well I'm off to see Bridget Jones with my friend~~I AM SOOOOOO PSYCHED!!!!

Kirsty - no, that didn't offend me at all (sorry I vented like I did.) I want to know about all you girls too. I just hate when I haven't seen someone in a long time and that's the subject they feel would tell them how successful I am. I'm the same way... I don't want to be too old when my kids are graduating high school. It's just more pressure to get that relationship thing off the ground. I'm just going to take it as it comes (as if I have a choice)

Brenda - I know.. aweful wasn't it? I actually watched it at home last night. Friday we'll be watching it at T's though and that should be fun. I actually really like gap jeans. They seem to fit my waist and my butt at the same time. Lane Bryant ones would fit my butt, but were HUGE in the waist. And then as I started losing weight, I got the saggy crotch look going! But I like the gap jeans a lot. ALso, I actually did read BJ. And I totally did relate to her. But then she got the guy and the end... I'm still waiting for mine!!!

Ali - congrat on this life time thing. that is so amazing!!! It'll happen before you know it. Any chance we'll be seeing you under the Success stories on the web site? Only kidding... but that would be cool!

Janet - I've thought about doing the slim fast for breakfast...but sometimes I think i need some substance. They are pretty tasety - but I'm with you, I don't think they'd tied me over. Adding the yogurt or maybe a banana might be helpful. I have a back-up plan if I feel like I'm gaining or at a plateu that I might do a kick start with slim fast. I think if I hit a plateau that I might give it a whirl.

I had a 4 point breakfast and a 5 point lunch...so in the cafeteria they had just finished baking Otis Spunkmeyer cookies and they smelled so good. I have plenty of points for the day, so I figured I;d have one. It was a concious decision, and it was good and worth it. Not sure what to count it as... it was one cookie. 2 points? 3 points? Any suggestions?

Thanks for all your very insightful suggestions on how to jumpstart my losses. I will have a chat with a group leader. I find I'm usually over by one or two points and do most of my eating later in the evening. I don't get off work until 9 pm but I try to make a nice dinner but then the wicked snackie gremlins alight upon my sofa and convince me that I must eat again! I've started counting my points from dinner onward so we shall see!
I put 'other' for the poll. I have a utterly adorable boyfriend who is just an absolute doll and we've been together about a year. I'm leaving for a few months in the fall and we haven't had any discussion about what our 'status' will be. He's getting more affectionate, sort of clingy and sentimental and I am growing more distant, I think, anticipating my great trip around the world and trying to preempt any serious parting drama. So, I'm in a relationship but I'm not thrilled because there's some substantial tension between us, however, by no means is it miserable because he's just a totally terrific person and he makes me laugh. I think, honestly, that i'm just a wee bit freaked out about maybe having encountered 'the one.' I'm 24 and I know for an absolute fact that I'm far too young. My parents met at thirty and had babies around 33 and I just can't fathom committing to anyone before then. Then again, if the person is right, the timing is rather irrelevant, I guess. I was a swingin' single for a few brilliant years and had a fabulous time. When my other single girlfriends were pining for a blokey I was convinced it was all too much trouble. It's been surprisingly easy, however. It's a conundrum.

Hi everyone. Me again and I am having a meltdown. I was working remotely yesterday and went over in my points. I think the lack of control is due to stress. I have had this headache for 3 days now and nothing seems to relieve it. Right now it is a little dull, so I am hoping some Excedrin will kick in.

I never thought planning a wedding and having a full time job was going to be such a big deal. So many details run through my mind at once and I think I have lists EVERYWHERE. I am going to speak with my Fiancee and see if he can take some of the burden off me. Just getting out to walk 3x a week seems like an imense task.

Jen, you are right...I am the soccer fanatic. I hurt my ankle about a year ago and soccer has been on hold. This has been a huge factor towards my weight coming back. I still keep in touch with Annemarie (don't know if you remember her), but she is trying to make it to the wedding. Now that I am on the East Coast and she is on the West Coast...I just don't know.

Ok, I am going to grab some java and hopefully that will satisfy me for the time being. My weigh-in is on Saturdays. I hope to pull it together in time.

Cuba: When is your wedding? Mine is July 7th and we finally got the invitations in the mail yesterday. I totally understand about the full time job leaving little time for anything else, especially excercise. That's one of the reasons, I've been gaining, I think. Best of luck!!

pps...Cuba, I just started carrying my planner EVERYWHERE and stole one of the "yellow" message pads from work. All my list are on little yellow pieces of paper! EEK!

StaceyT: My wedding is scheduled for October 21st of this year. We we began planning, it wasn't too bad. All we had to do was visit vendors and make contracts. Now that we are closer and we have to make decisions that affect people..boy have things changed!!!

Everyone takes everything personally and feel that they have the right to force their opinion on you. I am totally stressed out and work is very hectic.

I am ordering my invitations online and MY WEDDING DRESS!!! I pray every night that it will show up. I just couldn't resist saving 50% via the web on the dress I simply loved.

Good news...I haven't gone over my points just yet and only have 1 more hour left before I head home for dinner.

You must be 10x more stressed than me being that close to your date...

Man oh Man oh Man... where is everyone this week??? Kind of quiet in the 20 Somethings!!! Well, anyhoooo, I am going home now. I have a meeting tonight, then my Pampered Chef Party tomorrow. I don't have much time to clean my house so I guess it will just have to do!!

I've been busy today, and this won't be too long. I'm writing an awful story. A 19-year-old guy pulled his car over to the side of the road during the rain the other night, lit a cigarette and fell asleep. He woke when he was on fire. He died aftetr scrambling out of the car. It's that the saddest thing? Sometimes, my job is so hard. I almost started crying myself when I was talking to his mom.

Gotta tell you, though, things like that certainly help me put my own life in perspective. My problems don't seem as bad now.

Wow ... there sure are a lot of married folks on the board! I'm in a committed relationship (4+ years) that I'm hoping will go the marriage route! But I still agree with you single girls. It's annoying having people come up and ask, When are you getting married? When are you settling down? I have a great job, two furry children (my doggies) and a wonderful boyfriend. Of course I feel the urge to get married, especially when I'm turning 30 in a year and all my friends are married, but I'm pretty happy.

Kirsty: The outfit ... although I'm not on TV, whenever I interview at newspapers I wear the same basic thing. Black slacks, black blazer, but with a colorful top. 'Course, I haven't gotten the past 3 jobs I've interviewed for but I've looked good!

Cuba: A soccer injury contributed to my weight gain, too! I was playing in a women's community league about 4 years ago and tore my ACL. Had that arthroscopic surgery, but wasn't very religious with my own physical therapy afterward. The pounds piled on. I need to lose weight to ease the pressure on my knee, which I didn't have reconstructed but hoped to just strengthen. I'm hoping one day I'll ski again, too, although I'll probably need a brace.

Well, I better get this story done so I can watch the Friends wedding. I'm taping it just in case. Still haven't watched the West Wing from last night!

I know it's late, just wanted to let you know that I am still alive just had two really bad days in a row (not food wise either) I am really proud of myself with not overeating. One step at a time..........

I was goofing off with the virtual model at landsend.com that you can make of yourself to try clothes on to. I had a lot of fun and thought that my model was really accurate until I showed my DH (and no it ain't "dear"), and he says you need to make the hips one size "bigger" I could have killed him. Although I hated him for it, it did give me incentive to not overeat yesterday. I really want to look good in the swimsuit I picked out!

Well, I need to run. We are having a friend over for BBQ tonight and I made lots of lowfat goodies! Should be yummy and I am only at 13 pts for the day.

Hi, Guys. I don't think I've ever posted here, but I've already "met" a few of you elsewhere on the board. I hope you don't mind..I guess I'm sorta looking for a home on the boards!

I Joined WW two weeks ago, so I thought it would be a good idea to "hang out" with other WWers my age. I've been reading about you ladies and we have an awesome, diverse group, from just starters to almost lifetimers....!!! But we'll all be lifetimers some day, right? The weight is coming off slowly, but at least it's going. I started losing weight before WW but wanted a guide to make sure I was eating correctly, so I joined.

I'm 22, senior in college majoring in Advertising and Marketing (6 classes left!!!) and full time Internet communications worker. Since you guys are talking about relationships, I have a BF of three years this June, and last year we bought a house together. Things are going well and we're getting married next December. By then I'll have my BS, he'll have his master's and he'll be OUT of the Air Force!!! We're not officially engaged (no ring yet!) so we didn't announce it. He's kinda nervous..he's 28 next month and getting in some sort of mid-life crisis!... Ha! Together, we have Winston, our ferocious kitty!

So that's about it. I hope we all get to know each other...

Kirsty If you're planning to live there a while, definitely buy vs. rent! It's kind of neat to have your "own" property!

Tilley I know exactly how you feel about relationships! I felt that way so much before I met my current BF. It just "happened" one day.

The funny thing is no one seems to ask you those questions when you DO have a BF...not to me, at least! I'm 22, most find that pretty young to be thinking about marriage and I agree, but this is just way too perfect for me. By December 27 of next year, I'll be 24 so that's better. We've been thinking about going to Nova Scotia or Alaska (we love cold, snuggle weather) but we figure it would be way too cold since it's already winter in the States, so then we're considering New Zealand....anyone been?

Thank you girls for your congratulations and welcome backs…and I assure you that I am NOT wasting away down here in north carolina. And no way will I even get close to the lower limit for my height (118) so I’m not too worried about getting "too thin". When I think about it, too, the thinner you become, the more difference each pound makes in how I look…so maybe getting down to 130 will be enough.

Oh, and I’ve been looking at the picture thread, and I have to say that you are one amazingly beautiful group of women! If I can dig up a picture to scan in I’ll post one soon.

Kirsty—so what did you wear for your audition? You can’t go wrong with all black in my book—it’s classy. and wonderful about the house…portobello road is a cool little area…are you sure you’re ready for as big of a commitment as buying a house together? not even a single twitch of doubt?

Janet—the slim fast stuff really isn’t bad, is it? I occasionally have one for lunch just because it’s fast and actually pretty healthy with all those vitamins and stuff. I always feel like I have to hide it though, like putting in a regular glass so other people won’t know I’m drinking it—am I being too paranoid here?

Ali—congratulations on getting to goal while I was MIA! And you’re even lower than goal!—no wonder you’re getting hit on left and right
