Jana~yeah, AR is Arkansas. I have dreaded going there and have put it off so many times, and now I HAVE to go, just not sure when, either next week or the week after. Oh well, it is long overdue, I just wish it was under different circumstances. That is so cool about the Easter dress, WTG! You are doing an awesome job! Your Father's Day dinner sounds yummy! I never think to make individual meatloafs, what do you use to cook them in?

Marti~that is one good thing about having a HOA (Home Owners Association). While I dislike the *rules* & *regulations* it can be a good thing, as far as what can be parked in front of the house, how the lawn & house look, and the neighborhood overall. Don't like having to pay for it, but it does have it's pluses. About Father's Day, not sure what we are doing since Vince has to work. I am going to fix a special dinner for him, and his favorite coconut cream pie-good thing I don't care for it. Hey, you mentioned chili and I was in the store this morning and almost bought some pinto beans to make some chili, sounded really good. But for some reason I cannot eat any type of soup when it is hot, and it has been hot. Seems to be more humid this year. I haven't seen that movie yet. I do plan on renting it, or buying it-I love Adam Sandler. I don't know what it is about him, but I think he is so funny.

Shanna~you are right, work is not supposed to be fun. It is however, supposed to be tolerable and if it makes you miserable it can't be good for your health or peace of mind. Is there anyway, you can stay there and look for another job? Well, while you may think your life is going to suck till you finish school, why not make the best of it? Instead of looking at it as sucking, look at it as 'I have a job and money coming in, and I will be getting my degree and it will be better' Although, there are no guarantees about tomorrow, just try to make the best of TODAY. Think about the things you do have in your life, your family, your bf, your babies, a roof over your head, food to eat etc. I don't want to come off as nagging or preaching to you so off of my

Angie~DS worked in telemarketing for Sprint for awhile and people were mean! He had to call the people on the east coast and would get cussed out just for calling. I know I could never work on the phone because the first time someone did that I would probably hang up on them. I worked in retail for a while and people were rude, but I could handle that better than being on the phone. I guess just being face to face with people is totally different than calling someone. Of course a smile goes a long way.

Kathy~hope things are fine with you and the kids. Poor baby, getting chicken pox and the mumps. DS#2 had chicken pox 3 times, and they say you can't get them after the first time. None of the kids have had the mumps, nor have I. I know my sisters and brothers had the mumps when we were younger but for some reason I didn't get them.

LibraryKate, RosieKate and any others that I don't have, I too would like your address and email if you feel like sharing. The ones I have are Angie, Jana, Marti, Kathy, Shanna, Katie, Kayecee and Kat, oh and Susan & Rita. I think that is it, seems like I am missing someone.

My schedule is all off track. Went to Wal-Mart this morning for grocery shopping. Checked out some books from the library, 2 John Saul , and another I can't remember the lady, sounded good though. Going to put my head in the books. I also need to finish my (home) schooling. I have been working on it for a while and need to get it done so I can get my certificate to work in daycare. I probably could get a job now, if I keep looking, which I am. I have applied at a few places and will see what happens.

I too need to clean windows. I am forever cleaning the screen door. It is all glass and kind of hard to open without actually touching the glass.

Hi Cristi--

I had to run and make some coffee...then I took out the trash and recycle bin then watered some flowers up front. Kind of pretty. I wasn't sure if the trash was being picked up today due to Flag day being monday.....didn't know what I was doing, but I figured I would join the crowd and put mine out before I had extra for next week!! And I also took a shower. So now I'm squeaky clean!

I TOO would like a PM for addresses to anyone who would like to share. Card exchange is fun. I have been behind lately on that the last couple holidays.....I will try to make up for that later.

Ok...must finish some more picking up before I head to the grocery store for food. I need to feed James and Jhanai this weekend!! The only thing about James being gone is....I don't shop or cook much. I find what we have and usually it's leftovers and I just clean up the fridge. I may have a loss this Saturday.....heres to crossing my fingers for that!!!

Hey chickies!

we were in the Jane Austen room. I could cuddle up in armchair in front of a window with a view of the ocean and a lighthouse. There's an attic library, too. So we cuddled up with books and mulled wine and read to our heart's content. It was such a luxury - I had forgotten what it was like to get lost in a book. I love to read, but I have to grab bits and pieces of time and it is rarely uninterupted time. Thank you all for your birthday wishes - I did have a lovely time. David and walked on the beach for almost 2 hours yesterday morning, then went to the outlet mall to shop. We stopped in Salem on the way back to visit with my grandma, then off to Milwaukie to pick up the kids who had a great time with their grandparents. Now we are home and gearing up for a little Oregon-style heat wave. 90 today.

You know, reading about the jobs got me thinking about my experiences. No matter what you choose to do, there are going to be aspects that just suck. When I was teaching, I once had to take a knife off of a 4th grader. Then every now and again having to watch kids whose home lives were in crisis just fall apart in front of my eyes. Teachers see the best and worst of humanity, I swear. But anyway, my point is that I believe life is too short to spend it being sad. Today is the anniversary of the death of my best friend. And every year I pause and remember her and how young she was when it was all over in the blink of an eye. She was adventurous spirit who crammed alot of living into 26 years. On this day every year, I say a little prayer and vow to always find my happiness in whatever I do because I know the hard way that it can be over any moment. OK enough of that . It's just with this sad anniversary and the talk of hating job - life -whatever, well, it just brought up some emotions for me. Please don't take it as a lecture, it's not meant that way.

There's been so much chit chat I cannot keep up - so I'm just going to say Hi to everyone and sorry I'm not catching up on individuals. I'll try to do so over the next few days

I'm baaaaaack!

Angie - I've worked where I had to deal with some real creeps, too. At one job, part of my duties was to call people about bad checks they wrote. Gee, that was scads of fun, lol. And another one was being cashier at a car dealership. Somebody was always wanting to complain about their service dept. bill. Like I had anything to do with it....

Marti - so did you get the windows clean? Wanna come help me do mine? I hafta say that if Katie and Neal weren't here, I wouldn't cook for myself much at all. I'd go visit people at supper time, and hope they'd invite me to stay, lol.

Cristi - about the meatloaves, I place them on some Release foil in my roasting pan, and bake them uncovered at 350 degrees for about 40 minututes. Good luck with the job search.

RosieKate - I checked out the website, and really like the Jane Austin room. Wish I could see it in color though. Your vacation sounded so romantic and relaxing! Glad you are back!

Well, I took Caylin (the 8 month old) shopping with me again today, and she isn't going again for a long, long time. The little stinker wanted me to hold her in Walmart and push the cart at the same time! That's what she did last time, too! But she's so darn cute, it's hard to not do what she wants, lol. I know, I know.... I'm a softie!

I've got another new recipe in the crockpot. It's Country Chicken Chowder and it smells really good. I'm serving it with a tossed salad and crusty wheat rolls. They are new from the frozen section, from Pillsbury. I'll let you know how those are, too. Cristi, you can save the recipe until cold weather, ok?

Welcome back RosieKate The beach sounds nice about now- glad you had a safe trip.

I am joking Marti, but you can be my little motherly sister, have to get behind Angie though....lol....

Truth be told I haven't had much experience with men at all.......I mean I did drop out of school in the 9th grade and have made poor choices along the way in men. I have only had 4 relationships -2 of which ended in marriage.
It has been 2 1/2 years since I have been in a relationship, not even sure if that is what I want- though a Chrsitian male friend would be nice.

Ok- now I am going to bang my head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My supervisor came in and said they may NOT interview me after all. I guess the director wants to give the position to a person that is going to be laid off- which in the agency there is a lot of that going on.
This is all true but I am having a let down. I told him she called me but he said this conversation with the director was this morning.So, who knows now??? Unless all the lay off people pass on the position?? Can we hope for such a thing?? lol geez..........

I guess what I don't like is my emotions being jerked back and forth.

ok- lets talk Les Is More or More of Les.......whatever it is...... we talked for 2 1/2 hours last night. I banged my nose against the dryer before he called........double decker kind of thing. So, I was telling him this and he was asking if I had any frozen veggie packages to put on it and I said no.....how bout ice cubes, I siad no...........he goes "what DO you have in your freezer??".......lol, I said I just had a container of peaches.
He was sweet because he said he would just have to bring me over some ice.......ahhh.....which I passed on of course ( Right, Angie?? Cause we don't want him coming to my place and axe murdering me before we meet??...something like that....lol))

anyways........

The skirt?? It is only a $13 GAP skirt , I guess. My co worker has a green one and that is what she paid. Mine is blue with little white flowers, slit up the back.

Had a counseling session with Gaby's father this morning. I feel we are making progress. Gaby is the sweetest!! I washed her hair this morning and she looked so pretty- I bought her some new t-shirts and sandels -- looks sooooooo grown up. Going to have to get some more pictures taken........

K- tons to do!! Had a nice tune salad for lunch-- back down to 142- yay......getting my water in.....

Geez, hours later and no one has posted??

Is morning the popular time?? I am just stepping away from getting files pulled for annual reviews. My head is swimming in social security numbers!!!!

I didn't take a dinner break, now am feeling faint. Think I will head out for a salad.

Gaby ran through the sprinkler today, she had tons of fun. I heard this through the sitter- I missed it. Still sweet to hear, can picture her outside in the heat cooling off in the wadder.....

I am on call this weekend , so can't plan a Fathers Day. I might try....we'll see. I should at least call my dad tonight, he called earlier- almost forgot.

So, the counseling session went good. He asked if he could see her this weekend. His B-day is tomorrow, and we have Fathers Day-- so he wants to see her. I said I would think about it, try and come up with a plan. I don't know if I said this before but she saw him last Thursday and smiled when he came towards her- thought that was endearing. Something about Dad's and little girls........

Jana,,,I know all about NSF cheques,,,I worked in a collection agency,,,you want nasty people them are nasty! That how I got good at tracking people,,,then I got my license for a PI and then the worst job ever was standing on a street with a bunch of hookers,,,giving me the evil hairy eyeball...like Im making a move on their territory ya...I was watching a cheating hubby...now don't that sound fun? The 10 hours before that I spent following a guy around who had visitation rights with his son,,,the same son he left in a crack house the year before. The mom didn't trust his so hired me to *babysit* hottest day here and Im melting in my van. Then a week later had the red neck freak pull a gun on me....wanna talk bad jobs? Ya call me the QUEEN of BAD JOBS! And now I take beer orders from people I can' barely understand, just off the boat or just down right cranky people. Im not saying its all bad...probably a quarter of then calls are hard to deal with. There is one caller who I admit I get stupid over...lol names Jamie from the Ol Spagetti Factory in Vancouver...lol OMG this guys voice...*breathing heavy I think he should try radio,,,selling something to the felmale population...cha ching! Ill take a dozen of whatever hes selling.

Susan,,,don't let him in the house until after you have met. Don't need to know about finding you in a bathtub of ice with your liver missing.

You have had some crappy jobs - lol

Mine was working on the coast for 11 years. My boss always was uptight/yelling and I was always stressed, dreaded Mondays, only relaxed on Saturday and Sundays when I knew she wasn't in the office.

Funny thing is she turned out to be a sweet lady. We email even now and she is happy that I have a good job..........said HAP was lucky to have me that I am a good manager, so that was nice.

Makes me wonder now why I spent years looking for the bad instead of enjoying life.........

You are silly.......of course I will have MET him if he is in my house!! btw- why would my liver be gone?? lol

Oh..........he called before he went to church and asked if he could call later tonight. Thought that was sweet and thoughtful............pretty sure he doesn't want my liver Angie.....lol

Well, according to Marti, all I do is complain on here and never put anything happy and cheerful. SO I guess I better not put anything on here and drag everyone down with me. I apologize for depressing everyone , this was just a way to get alot of my feelings out and feel like someone was listening and get advice,( so i didn't always bottle it up), even if I didn't always take it. I guess I will go back to my journals and leave all you poor ladies alone. :-) I am going to way of kayecee. tootles

Have to post quickly since Jhanai is waiting for me outside. But I had to come in and tell you what happened today!!

It was 2:00 and I wanted to get to the grocery store and get some stuff before James came home and before we went to get Jhanai.....

I grabbed my purse, made sure both dogs were in the house then......I locked myself out of the house!! I left the keys hanging!! I have this little thing that hangs off my purse, it has a little chain...well without looking I was hanging onto it and I just assume they were my keys.....so when I looked down my jaw dropped!! Man!!! So I called James to see how long before he would be getting off work.....no answer. Eventually he called me..around 3:00. Told me he was on his way home and should be home around 4:30. So here I am sitting on the patio for 2 1/2 hrs....and it was blazing hot!! James pulls up with this HUGE smile on his face ......Ha ha...funny!! (well actually it was)

I told him that the dogs were laughing at me through the sliding glass door as they sit comfortably in the air conditioned house!! Spoiled brats!!

Anyway.....waste of my time!! (hee-hee)

I now have a ornament that holds a hidden compartment,,,and the key goes in there then into my flower bed...I have so many little things in there,,,no chance it being stolen...
