Sandi, I've been at those crossroads before also. Several times. If Weight Watchers works the best for you, go for it!! And, having to hold yourself accountable every week I think will help out alot. You have had such a rough year so far so it is understandable that you got really off track. I'm happy to hear that you are moving forward. I think that is wonderful. I know that you have it in you to do it. I am sure of it. If you can get a friend to do it with you that will be a bonus too. I have a walking partner and that really keeps me motivated, because I know I am accountable to her every day to go walk and her the same with me. It makes a world of difference. You are a wonderful individual, and I know you have the strength to do this.

Congrats on taking the back to WW plunge.....it sounds like a good decision. I started on a commercial programme called Slimming World (only in the UK) in January - and although I sometimes hate the meetings, I have found the support from some of the people I regularly meet there really helpful. I hate the meetings because although the woman who runs them is a very nice person, everything is discussed at a very superficial level - its as if there is no emotional issue in sight! However, psychologically I do think that for me showing up every week, and having a laugh and a joke and swapping a few stories definitely helps me with the motivation to keep at it.

So let us know how it goes....

Ok, so I did what I said and joined. 308.4. Ouch!!! It was much higher than at home, but mainly because it was in the middle of the day. But that's the number I hope never to see again! I even joined for 11 weeks, so I can't bail.

I even had hubby take before pics yesterday so that I can have a good comparison when i lose that first 50 lbs!!!

funniegrrl - Actually, Jenny Craig was something that I was considering. But WW won due mainly to the cost. $8.95 a week, I can afford. I can't afford Jenny Craig. I am so glad that it worked for you!!

Sandi, you've had a rough few months so don't let a few lbs get you down. I think WW is a great idea, it worked quite well for me when I did it right after I had my son. I also had my husband take some before pictures recently, they are still on the digital camera, I'm afraid to download them. I saw them on the little screen on the camera and that was bad enough. Well it's time to suck it up and download them and I'm even going to print one out and post it on the fridge. It that doesn't stop me from overeating then nothing will!

Congrats on taking that step. I know you can do it. we all know you can do it. If I lived closer to you, I'd be your inperson support person, but I don't think hubby would like me driving up to indiana all the time and I don't think I could afford the gas anyway. Just know that we are here for you.

I went to their web site and it didn't say anything about registration. Do they still have one?

There is a $25.00 registration fee. They have a June special where you can get 11 weeks for 89.00 so that's what I did. I actually really like the new flex points. You have this big wad of points just sitting there so if you get a craving you can have it. It makes things alot easier.

I made through Day 1 on plan. We even went out for Chinese and I made healthy choices!!

Hey Dana, be glad you still don't live in Toronto - I paid $32 to register (2 years ago) and $167.00 for 12 week booklets. If you pay "by the meeting" its $15.00 a week. Still, it's well worth it and better I spend on that than junk food.

You can do it Sandi. We are all behind you. I am so glad your back on a plan and are determined to do what is best for you. I know starting over is not easy. I strugle daily wondering if I will be able to do it this time. If we never try we never will so I intend on trying until I get this weight off for good.
