  • What Jennelle said.

And of course, a personal note.

It's almost summer here in Wisconsin, which means cookouts! Featuring: grilled bratwurst, beer, frozen custard, potato salad, macaroni salad, etc. and Packers pre-season tailgating. (only 4 months away!) I know it's tough, but all you can do is keep trying. Make the best choices possible. And remember we love ya, we all know where you've been b/c we've been there before ourselves & would never think to judge ya. *hugs*
  • Hi Dana

Can't add a lot to all that good advice and support......but, just a thought, that you've already made that first step by coming back here and posting....and that's a really great first step!
So like all the good ladies say, baby steps, one thing at a time, and you will get there......
  • awwww guys.. you ROCK!

I think realistic goals is going to be the focus. Sometimes it seems like you gals have really got your sh*t together. I'm going to try one thing just this week - no more regular soda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and make my lunch every day. (may not always be the best - but it's better then fast food in the cafe here at work)

Thanks guys!!! you can't begin to imagine what this all meant to me!!!

Baby steps.. that has been my fav saying for so long.. too bad I don't remember my own advice. "what about bob?"

    Dana
  • Ditto to everything that's been said. You CAN and WILL do it!
  • Dana,

Big hugs!!!! Working full time with a child is a huge change. You will get back on track and do great! We're all here to support you. I think bringing a healthy lunch is a fantastic start. I do much better when I bring food from home-then I know how many calories I'm eating. The cafeteria is too tempting for me-they always have a tray of delicious cookies right by the register...hey, I'm eating a sandwich/chips anyway, what's one cookie? or two? I gained a lot of weight that way.

    hugs,
    sherry
