  • Oh, is this a trick? It is where ya'll are- Ottawa, right? Yes, I'm proving myself a self-centered American.

Ruth, you're more right than you know about my not being a lawyer! (1)I have yet to actually pass the Bar exam (in fact, I'm supposed to be studying RIGHT NOW!)(2) I don't want to BE a lawyer! I'm thinking about teaching. Maybe I could come teach some kind of compative law class in Canada? I went to a good school, got ok grades, just don't give a crap about which clerk I have to pay how much to commence a suit (too many of 'em going on anyway!) And therefore can't get too excited about the Bar! LOL

BTW- do ya'll subscribe to the SB Emails? Some new info came today. I was going to post it if it hadn't been already. Big news- change in milk, yogurt, tomatoes, onions, and carrot recs.
  • Lisa, we're only teasing you because we like you.
  • Cooking SBD recipes from a Chef
First let me say - the recipes in the book are good. The pistacio chicken is my favorite, but since we're only allowed a minimum amount of oil I sear the outside and then bake it until done.

Otherwise it's very very easy to burn things. This I have found works really really well.
  • Chaz, is the catfish really fishy tasting?

And Ruth, where is your recipe for freezer pickle sticks or something similar? I was doing a search last night on cucumbers and you'd mentioned that in a thread but then I couldnt find the actual recipe. Thanks!!!!!!!

Lisa, I buy the frozen packages of stir-fry veggies and the frozen shrimp (already peeled and cooked). Then I just heat up some olive oil and mix in however much I want. It thaws out quickly. Sometimes I add soy sauce. I can't cook either!!!
  • Stir fry is going to be my friend, I can tell! Thanks again all!
