I'm back from a very quicky vacation with dh. Went to Foxwoods which is a casino here on the east coast. Had lots of fun. It's good to get away. I planned what to eat--had sandwiches for lunch/dinner and brought 2pt. bars, applesauce in tiny containers, raisins, carrots, and Diet Coke for nibbling and snacking. It worked. I can point it all out and although it wasn't a low point day either day, I hit my target and used a few Flexpoints. Weigh to go!
Bandit2,
I know what you mean about Outback. I mean we used to start with the Blooming Onion; need I say more? Anyway, I discovered the grillers section of the menu. I order the shrimp grillers and ask for a plain baked potato instead of the rice pilaf. I point that out this way: shrimp=2 at most, potato=3, veggies in marinade=1 or 2. Then I'll have a small sliver of the bread with a smidge of whipped butter for 2 points, the salad at another 2 because I get Tangy Tomato Dressing on the side. That totals out to 11 points for a dinner that satisfies me. Is it low in points?
Not really, but I think it's pretty low for that much food that is filling and eaten at a restaurant. Knock out the fattening cheese and croutons in the salad and skip the bread and butter and you're down to 7 points which I think works out great. I've also ordered the smallest prime rib and eaten half, but sometimes that's tough to do. I know Choosewell has eaten there too and she chooses appetizers for dinner. Weigh to go!
I really like checking out a restaurant site before I go to a spot for dinner so I can eat a lower calorie choice of all the foods I like.
Lin,
What a wonderful assessment of your weight loss. 123Success was good for me too. Now you're back on track with Flexpoints and I'm so happy for you. Weigh to go, kiddo.

Lauren,
Don't you scream when that happens? Losing a nice, newsy reply. Well, chime in when you can.
Choosewell,
How's your writing going? I give you credit doing all this stuff and working besides.

I'm sending
: to us all to keep us keepin' on.Love,
Judy
