I think I've talked about our lake house in this group. That is where it is! What a small world!
We absolutely LOVE it there! We added on to our house up there and it is now WAY nicer than our regular home. I would also like to live up there one day.
I say GO FOR IT!!!
Coop: I'm happy to hear that you've gone to some hypnotherapy sessions for pain and that you've experienced some change (even if small) already! I am SO hoping it will help you. Please keep me up to date on your progress. I'm sorry if I missed something and I know you were experiencing pain, but I didn't know you were on painkillers. So sorry they are making you miserable when you come off of them. Just keep that trip to Rome on your mind and think of how much fun it will be and hopefully that will help everything feel a bit better! Sounds like a wonderful holiday for you!

snapple: Comfort eating and depression are so difficult to conquer, but you CAN do it!!! And we will be right here cheering you on every step of the way!
Take things one moment and one small change at a time, like when you forced yourself to take a short walk. That's progress and you should feel proud of yourself for every baby step you take to improve your health!
YIKES on the ghost tales before bed!!!
purplecow: Good for you for signing up for the "Walk for the Cure." Which "cure" are you walking for? Sorry your meds still have you feeling screwed up. That is an awful feeling!
Do your best to stay strong! I will keep you in my prayers.
Please let me know how your appointment with your psychiatrist goes on Tuesday. I hope she can help get you feeling better! Sending you a big hug!
Waving hello to Holly, Monica, & JesikaBeth (and anyone else who might be lurking)!
Please let us know how you are doing if you get a chance. Hope all is well!

Please be careful as you come off of your medication! Maybe you are totally weaned off by now? Try not to be too anxious about fitting into your airplane seat. I'm sure you will be fine. I must admit, though, that I get a bit nervous every time I have to buckle that seatbelt on an airplane these days. I look forward to the days when that isn't even a concern anymore! I just want you to ENJOY every minute of your holiday!!!
to the group! My goodness, you have SO much happening around you! No wonder you feel pulled in all directions! First, take a deep breath and do your best to stay centered within your little family (you, your husband, & your daughter). That is what matters the most. It just has to. You are really not responsible for all of the others (as harsh as that might sound). That being said, only YOU can make the best decisions for your family on who, if anyone, you allow to come into your home. I would think that it would be a major stressor having someone living in your home full time. And if you are trying to get your weight under control, you do not want to be adding to your stress level. You want to be taking away any stressors that you can let go of. I am not trying to tell you what to do by any means. But I would think long and hard about it before letting your dad, your mom, or anyone come and live with you when you said you, your husband, & your daughter have just settled into a routine. That is so important, especially if you are trying to make major life changes in order to lose significant weight. As for your brother, that is so incredibly sad! It pisses me off and breaks my heart that people are mean to special needs kids. (I have a daughter with Spina Bifida.) I will keep him in my prayers... and you as well. I hope things settle down for you soon and that you get some guidance as to what decisions to make about everything and everyone. Hang in there and rant all you want. We are here to listen and help in any way that we can. Sending you a big hug!
and wow you sure do have a lot to deal with, I hope you can handle it one thing at a time.
