I have sent access with edit rights to all the emails I have rec'd - resend if you have no message in the email box you sent to me...

New at all of this. My third post and just trying to figure it all out as I go, including "quoting" if this goes well. Not even sure if I get messages. Did you receive mine?

I have received an email address from one more person and have sent access with edit rights to that person, but I do not know the screen name for that person. I do not want to put their real name into this thread, so...
If that person is you, then you should find a message at the email address you sent to me that tells you to go to the sheet, add your screen name, start weight and goal weight to the listing.

If it is not you - try sending me a private message again - click on my name to the left and look over my profile page (halfway down, on the right) to find a link that says:
send a private message to oneuh2...
click that and a box will open for you to key in your message, much like it does when you want to post here.

All other IPeeps:
We do not start the challenge officially until Sunday 1/3, so everyone else still has time to join us at the start. We will accept anyone else who wants to post in the challenge from a later date -- just PM me, or go to the sheet and make a request for access from there.

Oh well, it's not that big a deal. It's been over four years, just excited that finally I get to do IP. I stalked the 2012 crew when LizRR was on a roll and tomorrow is my first meeting and I was hoping to get involved.

Maybe, for now, I'll just move from "stalking" to actually posting, and join a future challenge when the process can go smoother (if it can for me lol)

How to I embed the goal tracker in my posts?

The goal tracker I believe is a signature. Under you account/main page it would be the "Edit Signature" selection. There is information there on it. Below is the basic answer, I think:

Q. I want to make a signature but when I go to my UserCP I don't see that options.

A. You must have made 20 posts and have been a member for 20 days before you will have a signature option. Then you'll see it

Note: Please create real posts to reach your 20 post quota. Gibberish quotes intended just to increase your post count will probably disappear

A. The forum software counts it down to 20 days exactly, based on the time you registered. So if you signed up at 6pm, you won't have the signature option available to you until 6pm. Note that the system updates once an hour, so you may have to wait a few more minutes

Q. I tried to add a ticker but all I see are asterisks and the code doesn't work.

A. Some ticker sources are blocked by our censor due to spam issues in the past. We ask that you use the 3FC tickers or those from http://www.TickerFactory.com or http://lilyslim.com/ Tickers from other sources may be removed at the discretion of the moderators.

You do have to have posted 20 times before you can add a ticker - in the User CP area there are instructions for setting up your ticker. 3fc forums are only good when there is participation so I gues the ticker is an incentive feature.

You should have rec'd email with edit rights for the challenge - thanks Lisa - welcome to IP sub forum - be sure to check the Newcomer thread every day and make that your primary place post questions. Vets of IP go there regularly and will be very helpful with info and tips.
