Yesterday I hiked and was tired when I got home. Around 8 pm I lay down to read for a few minutes before I fed the dogs and settled the cats for the night. And, I decided to have some dark chocolate. After midnight I woke up with melted chocolate all over my hand and the sheet :\ I guess I fell asleep before I could eat it. The dogs got a really late dinner.

made me laugh!
What kind of dogs do you have? Mine wouldn't wait an extra 30 minutes!
I have to share an embarrassing story about my dachshund, Samantha. They are known to be garbage hounds and will eat anything. During her long and happy life, we saw that many times. I got her when I was 16 and she lived till I was 32... She went to college with me, was with me when I was married and had my girls, so much of my young adult life. Once she got into and ate an entire bag of Hershey's kisses including the foil wrappers! Chocolate is poisonous to dogs but she just got a little sick. Another time I was out with my roommates in college and had a bit to drinkp

..... My roommate insisted we pick up foot long hoagies. She was known to pass out after drinking. We woke up in the morning and she was asleep on the floor with just the wrapper.... The last time made me

My then boyfriend (now hubby) and I took Samantha to the beach. She just wanted to sleep and was dragging her stomach and moaning. My roommate didn't want to admit what had happened, but apparently when dh and I went to dinner, she and her friends thought it was funny to blow pot smoke in her face and throw giant marshmallows at her to see if she could catch them... That was the last time we ever left Samantha with her and my housing arrangements changed shortly after.
Dh is still mostly in bed following his knee surgeries. We are hoping he can start to get around a little better today so I can go to work tomorrow. I'm exhausted taking care of him. He does have our kitties and our dachshund to keep him company.

We are frustrated with the doctor as he didn't get one of his prescriptions for pain. We assumed we had what we needed and they insist they gave it to us, but we filled what we were given! So he didn't have the stronger pain meds till late Friday after having the surgery Wednesday. It is making a big difference! We are also hoping to try the stairs today as we got him upstairs Wednesday night but he will eventually need to go back down!
My eating is good. Hadn't exercised except helping him, walking dogs, and going up and down the stairs a million times waiting on dh. I went to the gym briefly yesterday and am hoping to sneak away long enough to do yoga today. We will see...
