I'm using Lose it! based on someone's recommendation on the forum. I haven't looked in to any others so I have nothing to compare it to, but I do really like it. It's user-friendly and intuitive. Not sure how it compares as far as caloric accuracy goes, but it has a cool barcode scanner to add foods to your favorite foot list.

Quote: Excellent point! This it is very important to understand.

The number of calories I've seen estimated as burned by various apps, websites and even exercise equipment is typically grossly inflated.

At 5'4" and 170 you just aren't going to burn that many calories exercising unless you're capable of sustaining high intensity for a long time or you have hours to burn (like biggest loser contestants.) Your typical hour at the gym? Novangel is right. In any case it is better to under estimate than over.
Ok, so, you don't think I really burned 116 calories walking 35 minutes at 3mph? What would be a better estimate in your opinion?

I did sweat up a hella of a lot during my morning run too....logged at 145 calories.

So, tonight I am 495 calories under.....
I ate 3 eggs and a tablespoon of ketchup for dinner.
3 fresco soft tacos at TB
    1 apple
and a salmon salad over greens.
    Total calories 1204.
    - 360 for exercise for a net of 845.

I'm rather hungry....just seems like way too few calories.

I'm thinking of watching a movie and eating a bag of popcorn!
