  • My condolences and I'm so sorry you've gone through so much. Stay positive and strong!
  • you are an amazing strong woman who deserves a great NSV! Blessings to you as you go through this season. Make some new memories and new traditions. Love that you are not going to be fat and sad!
  • Well to be honest I would probably still be eating for comfort if it still helped. But no amount of food or even chocolate can make this pain go away. I was a bit mad about that!
I too am counting calories and walking. I am still trying to figure it all out because some days I don't eat enough. I am happy with the food I eat, things I really like, but I am usually under my calorie limit. I don't have a lot of confidence in my choices yet and I am scared of the holidays.

Quote: Well you're amazing, know that! You may not think it right now but it takes real strength to grieve AND put on a brave face for your daughters AND deal with the husbands betrayal AND not turn to old habits of looking for comfort in the wrong places when you'd be entitled. You're inspiring. God bless you.

Regarding my weight loss it took nearly 3 years but I just kept pushing and counting my calories and picking myself up when I failed at being on plan. In the end it wasn't easy, and I wasn't perfect everyday, but over time, I managed more on-plan days than off-plan days and made it to goal.
  • I don't have anything else to add to the wonderful things others have said, but wow, you are such an inspiration!
