  • Wow! Thanks for all the responses! You all are AMAZING! I am soooo glad that I found this website!!!

Well I feel a bit better that I'm not being crazy and obsessive with the daily weighing!
  • LOL, Yeah. Most of us look at the numbers daily.
  • I feel like an oddball now, lol. I only weigh monthly.
  • I weigh myself daily. Right now I am in the honeymoon phase where it almost always stays the same or goes down, but since that cannot last I have also downloaded an app (happy scale) that gives a running average. That lets you see the trend without having to freak out because you are bloated one day.

You're not an oddball at all! I weigh myself once a month as well. I'm maintaining now, but when I was losing I kept my focus on losing inches and how my clothes fit.
  • I weigh daily because I've found that it works for me. Weighing once a week lead to if I pig out on Monday I'm sure i can lose it by weigh in day Sat. It never happened this way it keeps me on track. Find out what works for you try it all different ways.
  • I am on WW and I weigh in weekly. It works for me only because weighing daily would discourage me and weighing monthly would tempt me to go off program until the end of the month. Weekly allows me to see how I am doing and keeps me on program.

Whatever works best for each person is the way to go.
  • I weigh two times a month, Every 2 weeks
  • I weigh daily. Small changes in either direction don't bother me. I need to know where I stand weight wise every day.
  • I try not to weigh often, because it's kind of depressing. But unintentionally I weigh in every three days or so.
  • I weigh in daily. The fluctuation does not bother me. If I am up one day I will be down more the next. I just chalk it up to water weight and go on.
  • I recently switched from weekly to daily.

For me, all week I would build up in my mind how much weight I was losing that week. Over the course of a week, I would convince myself that I had lost 2 pounds and when the scale refused to acknowledge all that hard work it would derail or at least depress me. So now I'm trying daily weigh-ins to remove a little of the power the scale has over me. Too early to know if it will work, but I'm hopeful.

And then I chart and graph it, because I'm obsessive that way.
    Same here.
  • (mostly) lurker here. I do try to weigh in daily since I am a really bad dieter.
Bought a travel scale online because I am traveling a lot and noticed that when I fly/travel, I can gain a lot of water weight/eat too much. So far, it's keeping me honest... just gotta make sure I can find a flat/hard surface.
  • Twice a week, on Fridays and on Tuesdays. Before and after the weekend help me stay on plan for Saturday & Sunday, which are always the hardest days for me.
