  • Add me to the 'fruit is a trigger' group! Peaches, grapes, any fruit with a high-ish glycemic index is difficult for me. I try to avoid them, but stick with berries or apples if it's unavoidable/I feel like having it period.
  • I totally have this problem. The fact that they are lower in calories doesn't seem to help, my body reacts to the natural sugar in fruit the same as any other carbs and I totally binge
I am amazed that some plans such as WW regard fruit and vegetables as the same. I'm never tempted to binge on veggies.

I've actually been able to pretty much remove all the fruit from the smoothies I've been blending up... So kale, spinach, cucumber, celery, parsley and maybe a few slices of apple or a 1/4 of a frozen banana for just a hint of sweetness.... also I've experimented with adding a little bit of various non caloric sweetners with little or no fruit, just veggies and the results have been pretty good... So it works out to only about 100 to 150 calories, plus 5 or 6 servings of veggies for the day and all the fiber.... So definitely a lot less calories than fruit smoothies and they don't seem to trigger cravings for more fruit for me....
  • I have this problem. Not only do I eat too much fruit but it also seems to trigger cravings for other forms of carbs and I just overeat period. I seem to do better if I limit carbs of all types, including fruit. It's hard, though.
  • Grapes eaten in between meals have my belly growling in less than an hour. (low calorie, low carb, low fat)
