  • Happy Saturday!! - Holding at 194 - I know I'll see results; I just don't know when!!! For me it's all about the average weight loss because as you can see sometimes the daily news isn't so exciting!!!

    20 weeks of Atkins and besides losing slower than last time my new observation has to do with the quality of my hair. The last time I lost 50 pounds much faster but my already thin hair really paid the price - this time my hair seems to be fine so far - as I am losing slower and I am eating better nutritionally.

    Lulu... Still in a holding pattern... That tho is still good... It did not go up. Its the Roller Coaster that gets arghy sometimes... You have maintained and I think your body is just gathering itself to let more go! I am also so glad about your hair holding steady this time around. I have been shedding.. but I think that that is summer shed... I take ALOT of vitamins and my hair is thicker than it was 5 years ago.. Even the girl who cuts my hair can't believe how thick....

  • Lulu - I TOTALLY relate to that feeling of thinking you lost and then seeing you didnt but you're clothes being looser has gotta feel good, right? =) Im sure the scale will move soon!

    OH NO we are all holding and stalling (Not using the P word!!!!) LOL
    But I feel thinner too... my clothes are alittle loser (got to move my bra exender over again.. can almost get rid of it totally!!!

  • Hello everyone! I'm a weekly weigher, otherwise I get so frustrated with the ups and downs and get discouraged. That being said, I've been watching and cheering you all on from the sidelines.

    I am down by 1.6 this week. I'm encouraged.

    I got a whipped cream maker for my birthday and it is so nice to have. I've also been conditioning for my trip to NYC in July by taking longer walks. Also started up my T-Tapp again. Now to get my dance chops back!

    What's T-Tapp? I think I saw something of that on PBS... But not sure... Is it fun?

    T-Tapp is an exercise program developed by Teresa Tapp.

    There is a basic 15 minute routine she designed for folks with chronic illnesses. I do that one. There is also a Total Work out which expands on that and is 45 minutes long. It hits all major muscle groups, encourages lymphatic flow, helps balance etc. Plus other variations. She has a bunch of videos. You can find stuff on youtube and there is also a website and a forum.

    I have hypothyroid and celiac disease and several other autoimmune illnesses plus I am on the other side of 60 now, so this little workout kind of keeps things going without being too much for me. My mom and sister also do it. Packs a punch for only 15 minutes.

  • 2.2 lbs lost last week, making me 180.8. I was really hoping to break out of the 180s this week but there's always next week. It's my fault for cheating a little bit last week. Still have 7.8 lbs until I reach my goal for July 4th but hopefully it can be done!
