  • Well it is now June 1st. How did we all do on our challenge?

My goal was 10 lbs but I have only lost around 5 or 6. Still it is a good start. I want to be in better shape by the time July 20 rolls around-I have a trip to go on and I want to feel better in a bathing suit
  • Well I am up instead of down, I am doing better though, I have much more control of myself than I did a week ago, I may actually meet goal one day ... I am down to 168.5 this morning, tomorrow is actually weigh in for me and I was down some from last week... gradually losing it.

  • Well, I'm 205 this morning. I can't remember what I was when I started but know I've been up to 210 during the past month! The really good news is that my BGL average is now UNDER 6!
  • Ruth that is really great- keep up the good work.

Well I am at 168.5 this morning. I need to keep up what I am doing lost 3 pounds last week, water intake was awesome- alright on the the calories and the exercise.

  • I'm back to 189 this morning. The usual. But I gained 3 pounds last week, and since starting this new diet I've lost it again. Let's hope the downward trend continues.
  • Hey chickies!!!! I am not EVEN going to report on any loss/gain or anything related to weight. After my surgery last Friday I have been taking it slow and easy. Sitting up for too long plays havoc on the sutures and makes me feel a little sick. I know I am retaining tons of water right now, cause I can even get the wedding ring on
I have been eating Chucky soup like it was manna from Gawd and getting absolutely NO exercise, short of here-to-there type of stuff. I go back to the doctor tomorrow to get the sutures out and to find out what he has planned next. I am sure some hormones are in order so it will be interesting to see how that goes. I am eager to get back on the diet train, but my mental facilities are still on getting these medical issues dealt with and I am sure hormones, water and such is going to need some time to regulate before I can expect to see any meaningful results...that don't get me depressed.

I dread even attempting the scale right now.

But I am optimistic that things are going to be changing for the good soon and should make dieting and alot more things, more easy to tackle and enjoy..not that one can REALLY enjoy dieting....but you get the picture.

Anyway. I hope everyone has been Beautimous and staying out of any trouble

    feels good to be back!!!!
  • Rubens... welcome back!! I'm glad your surgery is done with. I hope you're feeling completely better soon...
And you WILL get back on track!
  • Rubens-Glad to hear the surgery is OVER with and to see you back!! Main thing now is to heal and get strong again.
  • Glad your surgery went well Rubens -you will be on the mend in no time
  • Glad everything went well Rubens and take it easy - just concentrate on getting well and strong, that's the important thing.

As for me, I am PMSsing and tight of rings, but was about the same on June 1 though for a fleeting day thought I had lost 1/2 a pound! Am on the South Beach thingie so there may be hope yet for me for July, when I too am going off on vacation & seeing relatives etc etc must look good in the photo ops...

  • I'm glad that everything has gone wel so far Rubens! The weight will be off again. It is more important that you are feeling and doing better first.
