  • I haven't been weighing myself, but that's because my scales are really dodgy, I am getting a new set tomorrow, i will try and just weigh weekly, because if i weigh every day and don't see what I want to see i get disheartened and off track.
  • I weigh in daily, first thing in the morning. I also keep track of weekly weigh-ins which is helpful to see that although there are daily fluctuations there still is a downward trend every week.
  • I track and chart daily... When I am not busy hating on myself. I love the advice that I am more than a number, and that is exactly why I am here... For reinforcement and encouragement. I am so over hearing "but you're not fat" instead of "you got this, girl!"
  • I weigh myself daily, but I don't worry too much about small fluctuations. If you can accept that your weight fluctuates do to many factors and don't stress over it, weighing yourself daily is fine. I like to have an idea of how closely I should watch my calories for the day and how much water I need.
  • My official weigh-in is on Monday, but I weigh myself almost daily. I'm just too curious not to. I only change my tracker on Mondays though. And I don't get obsessed with the daily variations.
  • Ugh, I'm new to this.. but I weigh myself pretty much every single morning after I pee, I am a little disappointed in myself at times when I realize the number isn't any lower -- but, I deal with it. I only do an official "weigh-in" on Saturdays. I honestly can't help myself but to obsess over the number, and I really wish I could teach myself not to.. but it's really really hard not to obsess, I just keep hoping it'll move down!!!

    What works best for you?
What is working for me is to weigh daily.

BUT...I don't worry about fluctuations at all. The only day I worry is my official day. I am not OCD. For me it's a routine. It's a fact of life. "Hey, those are numbers there. And hey I understand that my body may be dealing with some issues right now and it's up. Cool." If you are OCD, weigh once a week or month.

    Since you said,

    but most it is frustrating
I'd suggest that you should only weigh in once a month, every two weeks or once a week.
  • I am typically a daily weigher, but I've decided to challenge myself. I'm not going to step on the scale until the end of the month. I want to try to focus on how my healthier eating is affecting me overall, not just my numbers.
  • I weigh once a week, so as not to deal with fluctuations. But I've found that less then that--unless you eat the exact same thing every day--is opening yourself up for unpleasant surprises.
