I work with 2 men in my office that INSIST on it being freezing in here, like bundled up in sweaters freezing. They keep it around 62.

My house was kept at 68, but my parents were concerned because they were literally going through a tank a month so they dropped it down to 65. At night I sleep with massive blankets and a fan on so it doesn't bother me. Weird I know haha

My house is kept at 67 degrees. When my adult children come over, they complain they are

'freezing'. Of course, my youngest and his wife keep their place at about 74 degrees, I always

feel like I am 'melting'.

The older I get (61), and the more weight I lose, the warmer I am. Must be that my

metabolism is really reving up.

You are all so lucky you have control of your thermostats! I live in a basement suite (we own the home with my in-laws). In the winter it is blisteringly hot (I can hardly breathe at night!) and in the summer they crank the AC so high that I have to wear sweaters as soon as I walk in the door! It's so frustrating not having control over something like this especially with a slower metabolism and low iron!

We keep ours at 64-65. I'm usually pretty warm, so I find it comfortable.

I am a single woman who owns her own house and doesn't have anyone to help pay the bills.

As such, I keep the house cold to cut down on costs. I'd like to keep it at 55 degrees, but I often end up bumping it up to 57.

Needless to say, I'm almost always cold (except at night when I sleep or when I'm washing dishes, lol). But I wear lots of layers.

for me personally, i dont believe it's metabolism slowing down....i've always been a little colder than everyone else, even at my highest weights...

in fact i believe my metabolism is doing better than before, because at my highest weight i would eat within reason and gain...whereas now, with weight loss and exercise, i've been eating close to 2000 calories FAR too often lately and i haven't gained a pound...so i think metabolism plays a part in that somehow

i have just come to the conclusion that i'm always going to be colder than everyone, and it's gotten worse since i've lost weight...in fact now i'd rather not even waste our fuel trying to heat the house to my liking LOL i just bundle up...right now we keep the heat in the evenings around 65, at night at 58 and during the day we just turn the heat off as no one is ever home

This is a point of contention at my house! My boyfriend will wear sweats, a t-shirt, socks, and slippers and want to turn it up to 80. He's always cold! I, on the other hand, will wear shorts and a t-shirt and turn it down to 73. At night it has to be 69 or lower or I can't sleep.

I know from past experience as I lose weight I will also lose insulation...and I'm looking forward to it!

I keep ours at 65 if we're home during the day. 60 at night while we sleep. We're out at work and school all day so I let it drop to 50 then..DH and I argue about whether that's more or less efficient. We have oil heat, and prices are through the roof. As long as I'm moving around I don't mind the cold, but if I sit and relax I swaddle up.

I keep it between 70-72, depending on the time of year. I just lowered it to 68 at night because my family gets too hot and at this point in pregnancy I'm having lots of hot flashes. But when I'm losing weight actively it never feels warm enough!

70. I live in an apartment building. It's a high rise and it's in the middle floor-wise, so during the day between other apartments and the sun my apartment warms up to 75 some days on it's own. But at night when it cools down, we have the heat set to keep it at 70.

Not sure what the summer will bring yet -- I only moved in 3 months ago.

73-74 in the winter.

77-78 in the summer.

The heat is rarely used here in Phoenix. But the AC is definitely is use more than half the year.

Interesting! I loved everyone's feedback! So I'm not totally insane for thinking the house was cold at 60. DH says it's set for 68 during the day, which is very comfortable. I asked him to change the settings so the heater kicks on at around 6:30 AM, because I'm getting up earlier to go to the gym now.

He said- No Problem. Yay.
