  • I love that too Clydegirl. Hoping the Sox will be playing in November.

One of our pitchers, John Lackey lost a lot of weight too. He was on the DL last year, but looks strong.

So you like having Pedro back?
  • Hold the presses. I just got this from the Boston Globe Sports Section:
All of the Red Sox problems last year were caused by one Bobby Valentine.

    Bobby Valentine is gone.

    Problems solved.

So, Sweetcaroline, you and I might just get to host Gary (EZMONEY) for tea at the Ritz Carlton in October this year. Should I make reservations?

  • Rafael Furcal - his arm hurts when he throws! Just when he throws. Really!!

He decided not to have surgery last year and just rehab his arm.

These doctors we have are pretty bad the decisions they make.

I'm not a doctor but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn.

Ugh I have some doubts about our middle infield. I could go on ......

I'm mad about our school district not calling a snow day for tomorrow, just the only school around that will have class!
  • Clyde is not having a good day.

The Rockies are in Arizona. I guess it is cold there with some snow, so they're not sure they'll be able to play on Saturday. Hmm. Winter is holding on.
  • I'm a sox fan too... there is only one direction for this team to go, and its not further south!
  • LOVE PEDRO! It's funny, when he played in Boston, the media made him out to be a prima donna. I have to say, in all the interviews I have heard him in since then, is that he is a baseball gem; smart, insightful, positive, and has lots to offer these pitchers. I am SO excited!
  • Everyone playing games today. It's a good day.
  • It's official - stated by a Trademark Judge:
"In short, the record shows that there is only one Evil Empire in baseball and it is the New York Yankees," wrote the judges. "Accordingly, we find that [the Yankees] have a protectable trademark right in the term . . . as used in connection with baseball."
    The article continues:
In fact, it was Boston Red Sox CEO Larry Lucchino who coined it back in 2002 after New York signed Jose Contreras out from underneath them.
Now from the mouth of a judge it's OK to hate the Yankees, LOL.
  • So Diane I'm hearing rumours about Tulo. In fact I just read an article about the Cards and Rockies talking.

That's an awful big contract he has. I know there may be a trade that could be worked out. Not sure about this.

    What are you hearing?
  • I'm bumping this up. We were on page 2

    WBC starts today. Anyone watching?
  • After injuring his elbow last AUGUST and deciding not to have surgery, Furcal has been shut down.

I think we have the worst doctors in all of MLB.
  • Everyone has disappeared.

I totally missed this before. Sorry. There's a lot of talk about trading one of the big players so that they could get some pitching. They've also mentioned Cargo. I don't like that. We still need our hitters. I just wish the ownership felt like paying some bucks for some new players.

I guess that's part of the reason I haven't been talking here much. I'm not excited. It seems like the Rocks are not moving forward.

So what's new in Cardinal world??
