Thank you so much, LinJber. It's a long story but in a nutshell, my infertility lead to a surprise (to me and my OB/gyn) cancer diagnosis. The scariest part for me is that I only went to the doctors because of the infertility and my age (I was 36 at the time). Other than not having a regular cycle (thought I was getting my period every 2 weeks, turns out the 2nd "period" was because of the cancer tissue building up), I had no reason to be alarmed. It was aggravating but I was too embarrassed to go and get weighed etc.

For women my age, apparently the doctors send you home saying its just stress, hormones, etc. My oncologist said I was very lucky that my OB/gyn kept looking to help me, she probably saved my life. Even though its a slow growing cancer, there is no way to know how long I've had it. And the only way to truly stage it is after the hysterectomy.

Sorry for all the personal TMI but its my mission to spread the word any way I can. There is no cancer awareness for people like me, it's all word of mouth.

A positive attitude can change your life and I sincerely believe that. Cancer isn't going to get me if I can help it!! It's just the baby dust I'm in need of now.
