I always used to eat pretty much whatever I wanted... whenever I wanted it... and I never had a problem with my weight... Well, obviously that changed... and now I've lost a lot of weight and I'd like to lose some more... And I still get pretty hungry a lot... The difference is now I don't let it control me as much... I've come to realize that being "hungry" isn't the end of the world and I don't have to just give in to it so easily like I always use to... I know I'm not going to starve and that I can make it through to my next planned meal... and it passes... And over time it definitely has gotten easier... But I truly believe that it is always something that I'm going to have to deal with because of the way that I used to eat...
It took about a week for me to stop feeling hungry all the time. The advice to load up on veggies is great - helps you feel more full. Throw spinach in your eggs. Also protein protein protein. A lot of people eat low fat to help keep low calorie but I find that eating a sufficient amount of fat (not excessive - just making sure there are sufficient healthy fats in my diet) goes a long way in making me feel full. Try adding some olive oil or almond butter each day.
Can your stomach handle raw cabbage? If you shred cabbage and use it instead of lettuce, it helps fill you up better and it has more nutrients and fiber than lettuce. I love angel hair cabbage...shredded really fine or sometimes I'll get the coleslaw mixture that has carrots and red and green cabbages in it.

It's been 1 week and I'm no longer starving all day long. Thankfully! Now I'm just mildly hungry between meals and no longer gorge myself at mealtimes. Thanks for all the advice everyone!
