lets start and spread the positive affection and stop the stressful weight loss and body image that normally lead to frustration and letting yourself down
  • I would of gotten them regardless of the weight , my growth spurt sent me from 5'2 to a bit over 5'7 very quickly. Its been 12 years and I haven't gotten use to my limbs yet. lol.
  • I love this - lets reclaim stretch marks as beautiful.

  • I love this image:

  • Yep. I've definetly earned my stripes too
  • Honestly I think tigers are the most beautifl creature on the planet. This Mama has earned her stripes. I do think viewing "stretch marks" as tiger stripes makes me feel a bit sexy.

And we all know it is our attitude and how we view ourselves that is what being sexy is truly about!
  • Yes, I am a TIGRESS! I was skinny before I got pregnant the first time, and I have very thin dry skin. So ... big purple stripes for years. Now they are silver, and much nicer than when they were new, but they do pucker a bit now that I am slim again. I don't mind nearly as much as I used to. My figure looks great, and scars are heroic.
  • I saw a photo that's been floating around the net of a fit woman with stretch marks (presumably from pregnancy) and it was the first time I realized stretch marks can be beautiful. Your body, along with its scars, tell a story of you, and I think that's pretty neat.
  • I used to be a tiger too! I've kept the weight off for two years and in those two years, they've faded significantly.
I kind of missing them but it's okay, I'm a lion now
  • I love this thread! I've got a ton of tiger stripes from years of up and down - 3 kids with weight loss in between, and now weight gain after having major surgery. Hopefully this loss will be the last major weight change and then I won't mind showing off my stripes!
  • After 5 kids, I have many Tiger stripes
  • Well I'm mixed and have had stretch marks since puberty, so I guess that really makes me a Zebra! he he he!
  • I am also a tiger...but in last years I was using multiple creams and they faded significantly...still there though
  • Sorry for reviving a dormant thread, but I'm covered in stretch marks, mainly on my biceps and stomach, embarassing? maybe, but i see them as my battle wounds and if anyone (never happened) says something about them, I just tell them they used to be red and became white and started fading as I lost the weight. Be proud of your tiger stripes.
  • I'm a Tiger and proud to be earning my stripes. I have them on my stomach, boobs, arms and lesser extent on my thighs. Initially I thought I'd be worried about them but the truth is, I just look at them and see the signs of all my hard work. I'm learning a great lesson in my fitness and health journey, learning things about myself that I never knew/ thought I would and the stripes are a souvenir of these lessons.
