  • My motivation? My clothes and the fact if I don't go to the gym I'm wasting money. haha.
  • That helps me so much!

I've never taken the time to set small goals and I realize that that is exactly what I need to do.

I always say, "My goal is to weigh 150" and then with that being such a far away goal, I've never thought to set smaller goals in between, then things go to the wayside and get forgotten and before you know it I'm gaining instead of losing.

I've decided to start setting small goals for me to meet, with the help of weight watchers. My first goal weight with weight watchers is 5% of my body weight, which is 218.5, because my starting weight was a whopping 230. It's been a week and a half and I've lost 3.5 lbs, so i'm feeling really positive and that also is motivating for me to set goals. My goal this week, since its my last week of classes, is to get off my butt on sunday morning and get out with the Running Room for a nice long run. When I meet that this week and weigh in sunday morning before my run, I know I'll be motivated. Next week, my goal will be to run once on my own, and again with the group.

That's it, its on the internet, now I have to do it!
  • My clothes keep me fairly motivated. I used to be a whopping size 18! I spent about $200 or so on new clothes - or rather my Dad did as a gift - so if I put on weight, I have to spend more money on bigger sizes. Most of my clothes are form fitting so if I gain much more than, say, 5 pounds, I'm done for. >.>

I don't want to have to start all over again. I did it once and I'd hate to undo all of my hard work. I think about gaining the weight, huffing and puffing around, my mile time decreasing, my self-esteem evaporating, the self-hatred...not worth it, nope.
  • Not my clothes, but the clothes I want to wear and can never find in my size or I look like hippo in them. Just joined a gym and if I dont go they get to keep my money anyway...OH h3llz NO!
