  • My workaholic hubby has been gone working all day today and it's pi**ing rain out there so I've been knitting on the baby outfit all day. It's unbelievable how long it takes that fine baby yarn to knit up. But, I've managed to knit the back up to the yoke and one sleeve is done. My hands started to really pain me so I had to quit. I guess it's best to break them in slowly.
Later I plan to dig around in my cedar chest to see if I can find the lovely white baby shawl my mother hand knit back in 1966 when I was expecting my first baby. I want to wash it and pass it along to Lisa for her wee one. I know she'll treasure it because it was made by her Nonnie. It should have gone to #1 daughter because it was made for her birth, but she was a teenager when she had her first baby and not too careful of fine knits and by the time she got married and had her second child, I'd forgotten about it. I wonder what other "treasures" I'll find in the chest.
Tomorrow I will probably not check in as I'll be at my club's AGM most of the day.
Great news about the American POWs. Wahoooo!
    Bye for now.
  • Real busy day at work> It just gets my god when people have no consideration for others!!! We had one 12 hour person call in that left me alone (some dear sole came in and helped with the med pass) and I had to stay to help the next shift out for a while. But in 11 years the only time I called in was 2 times!! I really have a problem with this!!!

OK enough with the bi##hing. I will say that I ate off plan for lunch. so there went my good resolve!1 but the rest of the day was not bad! even dinner. now if i can get past the night time!!
