  • Quote: You could go for the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel (the one for skin types 3 & 4, according to their labeling system). It's pretty good and it's for combination oily to very oily skin. If you get it at a department store, they will try to make you buy the whole 3-step programme but you don't have to, you can just go for the moisturizer if you're happy with the rest of tour skin regimen.
This is what I use. I only use Clinique skin products and I have really oily skin and its brilliant stuff! It costs a bit more but it last for a long time and works really well.
  • Try neutrogena brands. Its water-based, not oil-based, and I loooooove it. I use everything neutrogena, heh.
  • Dermalogica, you should get the mini skin kit for oily skin to try it out you'll never look back i promise!
  • One suggestion is to use a gel-like moisturizer.
  • I have pretty oily skin although as I get older it's more oily tzone vs the full face and I use moisturizer after I wash my face, especially in the winter. I've used a few different things but my favorite is honestly aloe gel... I'm not talking some facial gel with aloe, no I use the clear tube of aloe you find with the sunscreen (make sure it's clear/doesn't have the numbing stuff!). It's light, feels great if my face is irritated from sun, new facial wash, wind burn, etc, and doesn't cause my face to feel any more oily then normal. Biggest plus is its cheap!
  • I love the Balanced Diet from Origins. It's super lightweight and even though I live in Denver where it's really dry (which I SWEAR makes my face produce even more oil!) it keeps me balanced out.

Moisturizer is very important for oil skin as well as other skin types. Using moisturizer for oil skin helps hydrate the skin and decreases oil production in the epidermis. When shopping for moisturizers for oil skin, look for oil-free lotions, gels and serums.
