I've been keeping closer track the past year (I have a phone app to track everything with my cycle) and I usually gain up to 2 pounds right around ovulation. Then a day or two later I usually lose it. Then my weight doesn't move down at all! I could watch every calorie and be an exercise machine, nope, nothing. Then about 5 days before TOM I gain (water weight). The amount vaires, but I guess like 3-5 pounds. Then usually the day before TOM starts I'll see about a 1-2 pound loss, and I'll actually notice than I'm peeing more. Weird huh? I mean the day or two before TOM I always get up at night to go, at least once, if not twice, even with no change in fluid intake. Then I usually see the last of the water weight go over the 4-5 days while TOM is here...then my FAVORITE week and a half of the month!!! The like 10 -12 days before I ovulate, that's when I see a huge weight loss! I swear I can lose like 7-10 lbs in that little time frame....then nothing the rest of the month. Its so weird.
I would suggest recording you weight and moods daily. After many cycles you will really get an idea of what your body does. And you can expect a certain pattern.

i think tracking my weigh like GlamourGirl827 would be helpful. then maybe i'd expect when my weight will go up and not get upset over it. maybe tomorrow morning the whoosh will have hit
