3 things that I love

  • * I love when I'm in the passenger's seat driving with my DH and I see my reflection in the side view mirror that I no longer see a large double chin!

    * I love that I'm not hot all the time even if it's a little warm out...I was always hot and perspiring before YUK!

    * I love that my lower back no longer hurts!!!
  • Quote: 1. Walking into a room or sitting in a chair and not feeling "big".

    2. Shopping shopping shopping

    3. My sex-drive in overdrive...or should I say my husband loves this
Yes I can relate to #3~ as can my DH!!!
  • I love...
    1. To see my lost friend "waist", that muscle in the back of my calf that's been hiding, collar bones and my daily shrinking double chin (and I'm only halfway To my goal!)
    2. Putting on a size smaller jeans with no "muffin top" and not wanting to rip the jeans off as soon as I get home b/c guess what... My jeans are actually comfortable again!!!
    3. Control- I am no longer spiraling out of control with food. I have been able to gain more control over other areas of my life as well. I am try back in the drivers seat
    4. Power and strength... Mind, body and spirit...

Great idea... I love seeing what others love!!! I can relate to most all of them!!
  • Great thread and way more than 3 things to add!

    1. Feeling bones and crossing my legs.
    2. Pulling clothes out of those "too tight" boxes and finding them to be "too big".
    3. Living a life knowing my choices have a positive impact on my body rather than a living life knowing my choices are destroying my body.
  • Wonderful stuff! I love this!!!

    - I love that I went out to a Mexican restaurant with family last night and did not get a dish loaded with cheese, and it was fine. I sure enjoyed my chips and salsa though... (Phase 4 you don't want to combine carbs with alot of fat for dinner)
    - I love that when they came back to my house, I gave them angel food cake with fresh strawberries, but I was quite happy with my fat free Greek Yogurt with strawberries. I even gave them the left overs so I wouldn't have it in the house!
    - I love that I want more vegetables! Restaurants rarely have enough, so you have to make do, but for lunch today I got my fill and I'm happy.
  • I love that I can bend my knees up closer to my chest. If I try I can touch my nose to my knee.
I love seeing my shape again.
I love how I move. I walk easily and at a good clip. No longer burdened.

And, I love this thread and you guys. Thanx for starting this, Sewmam.

That reminds me of another thing I love. Carrying around 300 pds made it difficult to walk, difficult to feel any kind of womanly feeling. You just lumbered about, desperately trying to get from one place to another. After losing the weight, I can feel the grace returning, the quiet beauty that we all have inside us. Since fracturing my knee a few years ago, it doesn't straighten out completely, so I will always have a little limp, but I can feel the grace in my movements, more confidence. It feels more like 'me,' and for that, I am eternally grateful.
  • Ohhh..
    1. the sweet feeling going from size 18W to 14Petite...
    2. my kids (19 and 21 yrs old) are very supportive and allow me to kiss them in the morning, because "mom needs her "carbs"
    3. Security guys at work asked how did I do that?

And it's only 22 lbs. 45 lbs to go
  • Great Thread!
    I Love:

Being in control of my life (and not letting food control me any longer)

How strong I feel (physically and emotionally)

My 16s are not even close to being tight (and will soon be too big!)
  • I love feeling my waist again...yes, I really do have a "serious hourglass" figure!

I love feeling as if I can make it through any work or home stress WITHOUT EATING or having a beer to "calm down"!

I love feeling supported by all these amazing people who are also on their own journeys to health & self-care.

I love feeling happier, more social and more energetic...more like "Me!"

I love having the energy to keep up with my kids & my horse!

Love this! Also love your signature line "If hunger is not the problem, food is not the solution." That is so true. The challenge is to interpret the signals we get and figure out if the craving is really hunger for nutrition or something else.
  • Really enjoyed this tread, so I thought I would bump it with 3 new things I love:

    1) My thinner face
    2) Throwing out/giving away clothes
    3) Wearing jewelry again

and much, much more...I just can't believe I have lost 81 pounds! AND can't imagine how I will feel when I hit goal! I am anxiously waiting to find out, but know I have to stay 100% committed!

Hope you all will share the things you love about IP!
  • I Love:

Feeling so much lighter when I walk (both physically and emotionally)... there's a definite spring in my step these days.

Noticing that both sides of my stomach seem to be sort of caving inward where there's no longer so much fat underneath.

Not feeling deprived or anxious anymore about sticking to the protocol, but instead feeling strong and positive that I CAN DO THIS and will reach my goal.
  • 1. Looking in the full-length mirror and not running away.
    2. Putting on clothes and feeling good.
    3. Waking up in the morning and not feeling bad about myself.
  • I think I will start the morning out with 3 more:
Being able to run-hadn't even tried in quite awhile
Dropping sizes- zipped up some 16s yesterday
Being in control- of what I eat and what I do
