  • Quote: So I'm confused. Is gelatin the same as collagen? I certainly want the effects of collagen for skin. Can I get that from gelatin?
Gelatin is a form of collagen:

  • Quote: I was actually wondering about doing a Knox gelatin/IP Pudding mix. I'm getting tired of shelling out $28 for the Raspberry Jello and would like to try another way to incorporate some collagen (and save some bucks!). I saw some recipes online for adding knox to commercial pudding and was thinking of adapting it using the IP pudding. Interested to know if anyones had success - I was thinking that setting up the knox with 2 cups of water then incorporating the pudding - I'll try it this weekend and report back.
My plan was to incorporate 1 cup boiling water with 1/2 packet Knox gelatin until dissolved, let cool a little, then add the gelatin-water to a shaker with 1 IP pudding packet. Shake and let cool/set in the fridge. I think this ratio should work out okay looking at other 'gelatin pudding' recipes online that use knox & commercial puddings.

If it turns out good I would like to assembly line a weeks worth for afternoon snack. I figure with some WF caramel sauce & sea salt, some salted caramel chocolate collagen would be good for the skin & hair (and my choco-holic satisfaction).
