Yes, I've been eating this way since August last year and I'm down to the 45 lbs lost mark, so it's been working! As soon as I took exercise seriously I knew I wanted to fuel my body so I felt alive and energetic - and so I could cope with the exercise too. I did research and a lot of sources said eating more was the key, even though it sounds crazy for those wanting to lose weight, but hey - I'm living proof it works. My actual amount I'm supposed to be eating is like 2200 calories, but that's a 5 meal a day plan so I cut it down to around 1700 for 3 meals and it works for me.
The idea of this method is is that you should never go hungry. I eat 1700 of generally healthy food - fruit, veg, wholegrain foods - I only drink water. Treats come here and there, because I want to LIVE still, but on the whole the exercise I do balances out and I lose weight.
You don't need to slow down your exercise, just eat more. You need a good balanced diet, they tend to say 40% carbs 40% protein and 20% fat is a good ratio. But you need protein with all that exercise you're doing - I'm not talking about those shakes - I mean real protein food! I do think you should add 1 rest day, because it gives your body time to recover.
This planner is great to see what you should be getting of each food group in a week. I'd take the calorie intake with a pinch of salt, but it's still a good clear guide on what a balanced diet looks like
