I am a huge snacker. I don't really like sitting down and eating a meal. I work in a microbiology lab so I thankfully can't snack at work. It's when I get home that I'm in trouble, but I've learned not to eat past supper.
Used to be, to the point I realized I did not have regular meals but just snacks. Terrible habit. But as from this year I started to prepare myself breakfast, lunch and dinner, and don't snack any more. I don't eat anything between lunch and dinner --just an apple, once. I feel this new habit is so much better for me! And I swear I never thought I would be able to LIVE without thinking of eating all the time. I can. And it's great!
inglesita64 - i've been trying to do the same thing, just having an apple between lunch and dinner..it's been really helpful and I feel sooo much better.
Yeah, the snacking tends to creep up sometimes. Since starting my diet plan, my mid morning snack is a skinny cappucino. Afternoon snack is a cup of fruit, a water based soup or some flavoured rice crackers. I guess the thing is choosing a low fat option and only snacking because you're hungry. Good luck with your weight loss.
