  • I had the same mindset as you when I first began on Oct 16, i remember the first couple of weeks I would tell myself that I was just waisting my time because I wouldn't be able to lose much but regardless I stuck to my plan and 3 months later I decided to take a picture, i've always hated cameras, I compared a picture from a week before I started to my current one and WOW what a difference. You just have to take it one week at a time and set small goals rather than one big one. As you reach your small goals it will motivate you to continue and finally reach your big goal. Best of luck
  • have you heard of the book "the 4-hour body"? (check it on amazon) it's a diet that's pretty much exactly what you're talking about (high protein, very low carb, no sugars) and that's what i'm doing and i find that it's the easiest diet i have ever had to maintain ever... you ARE very limited in what you can eat, but you don't have to count calories AND you get a cheat day... anyways, check it out!

lol. i always feel like i should be paid to advertise the book the way i do, but i really like this diet!! i was doing it last fall and it was working really well for me (until some personal stuff happened that made me quit completely... gah!) so i'm hoping it'll work well again!

/high five! I'm on slow carb too.. been on it for 2 months and counting. I've adjusted it to myself (I don't need the beans and can have cheese every now and then while still losing). I also feel like I should be paid to advertise it because MAN, am I a fan of this diet. If you haven't looked it up already, check out The Healthy Monk's slow carb chili recipe. LOVE it. And cheat days are the best.
