  • Quote: Cyndi, good point about pre-cooked vs. dry lentils.
I had an unfortunate crockpot incident once I have lots of dried veggies so salvaged it but it wasn't the stew I thought I was making!
  • OK, I have to post this, I am sorry. But since starting P2 on SB I have Black Beans almost daily, and I really love them. And they do not have any side effects on me, like causing bloating or gas. (sorry)

When I try other beans they cause me problems. What about lentils, the snoppy sloppys sound so good.

Does anyone know why black beans don't affect me, but others do. (or is it what you eat with them that may cause problems?)

    I had to ask.
  • disclaimer - I'm Italian so I may just have a different digestive system but
my Mom always made us lentil soup when we had stomach problems because it was easy to eat. I'd guess you could eat lentils without problems but start with a small bowl, just in case
  • I've noticed that since I've been on SB, I guess I eat so many beans it doesn't impact my digestive system anymore.

Now fried food, that's another story...I don't indulge often, but when I do, it's not pleasant. Just another reason not to eat fried buffalo wings
