  • Good Morning.

Well I don't know where my resolve is lately, but I'd like to find it! Last night I actually MADE a batch of cookies in a moment of weakness! However, in a moment of clarity, I didn't eat any and made myself a pb cup instead, which I was very proud of! GF and I are starting p1 again today to try to eliminate these cravings I've been struggling with. I think I might be a no grain person, because it seems they cause gains and cravings for me. So we'll do a week or so of p1 and then try a 1.5 again, minus the grains this time (for the most part).

Today we're hitting up some open houses, have about 8 houses on the list and we'll see where we get! Other than that, cleaning/dog park. The usual day off stuff. For now...coffee!

Jenn- Hooray on your loss! That is awesome!!

Ruth- Have a safe flight and an awesome trip. We'll talk to you when you get back.

Debbie- Glad your sister ended the bad relationship, luckily she has you for support now! Have fun at brunch. Fig is acting much more like her mischievous self, which I'm taking as a good sign

Twynn- Have a wonderful first day of vacation!

Cyndi- Have a good day running errands....what kind of soup are you making?
  • I'm making hot and sour for dinner and a pot of some kind of super low cal veggie soup just because it really helps me stay on track. I borrowed the "free soup" idea from WW a few years ago and it really helps me in the cool weather when I just want to eat. When I'm lazy I make it with coleslaw mix, when I'm more ambitious I actually cut the veggies. Whatever I have around goes in as long as it's low or no fat and not a starchy vegetable.
  • Thanks for the link, Cyndi. That looks to be a great recipe which I'll try. We love HSS!
  • I'll report back tonight Debbie We love it too so I hope this is good. I've made lots of recipes either created or recommended by fat free vegan and I think there may only have been one or two we didn't love.
  • good morning,

Thanks Debbie for the the Thanksgiving wishes.
Interestingly the one thing somehow crochet and me don't get along. It can be beautiful. Knitting for a baby takes much longer because you use much finer yarns, lots of patience involved.
off to my cooking and standing on my chef's mat
    take care
    Sophie
  • Afternoon all!

Weekend plans got delayed because DW's memory stinks - we had to leave at 1p yesterday to go to meet her family at the airport and entertain them during their layover for 7 hours! It wound up being lots of fun and I did get about 3 miles of walking in...in a crab hat! Hahaha.

Today is laundry, store for cat supplies and then back home to cook. Yay!
  • Jenn, please tell..."a crab hat"...is this an East Coast thing?
  • The soup was definitely a hit. I think I would add a little more vinegar and chili at the end but it is perfect for DW's tummy right now. I just added more chili to mine
