  • I bought a few of these cardigans last year and absolutely live in them. Very graceful look, both back when I was heavier and now that I'm slimmer.

All of those people running around in shortish skirts, no tights unless it's really cold and silk camisoles under blazers must be living in ridiculously warm climates. Did you not get huge amounts of snow last winter? We got -16C/3F during the *day* at one point. We're talking warm trousers, thick socks, hefty boots with textured soles, several layers of tops and sweaters and such, and a good warm coat, hat, scarf and gloves.
  • Oh guys, you have to hear this. I was just telling my other half about these people who live in such warm climates that they can run around in skirts without tights in the winter, and he said, "When you said, 'What's a sexy look for winter?' I thought the answer was going to be '...thin?'"

He has also just added, "I don't think I'd be welcome in this forum." Awww. He is in fact superbly supportive, I hasten to add.
  • Oh! That cardigan is sexy!!! I wonder if they have something like that near me.... I just bought one sweater yesterday with a tank top to go underneath of it. I don't think it's very sexy but it is super cute!
  • We did get a lot of snow but the buildings are pretty warm... I am looking for a new boot with a textured sole. I broke the heel's tip of my last boot like that.
  • It gets really cold here too. I do not spend much time outside.

I also love wearing rayon or silk cami's with button up sweaters (thin knit, form fitting, with 3/4 arm length). I only button the couple buttons in the center (about 3), leave the top 2 undone and the last few undone. Looks great with a pair of bootcut jeans, and I wear chunky healed shoes.
  • I love Esofia's cardigan!

Here's a couple on Land's End that look similar -

Spanx camis are nice under blazers or cardigans, but only if you will keep the jacket or sweater on all day.

I also like the short skirts with tights look. I'm still trying to find tall boots to fit my extra chunky calves.
  • Glad to hear everyone likes them - I ended up getting four, and really do live in them. The red one is a lot longer than the others, for some reason, but red's a great colour for a giant cardigan. I think they're generally known as waterfall cardigans?

Liliesinmycereal - I've learnt about needing thoroughly textured soles the hard way as well. This winter I have some psychedelic wellies with good textured soles, so I am well prepared for if it goes mad snowing again.
  • I bought a couple pairs of skinny jeans and am going to buy the cardigans soon!
