  • Quote: i count and measure everything, i tipical day for me on a diet is
    B: apple (110 cal)
L: Healthy Steamer meal (250 cal)
D some chicken or fish with veggies ( 350 cal)
De: watermelon 1 cup (50 cal)
so i do know exactily what i eat i wright everything down, and i keep a calorie limit for eat meal. also i exorcize 30 mins a day, i day cardio the next day weight training and so on.
This is 760 calories. Not NEARLY enough
  • 1000 sounds like it's too low for someone as young as you...how tall are you? I'm 5'2" and I end up eating around 1500 calories on the days that I exercise, and 1200 on the days that I don't, and I'm still losing those last pounds which are the hardest to lose!
  • The thing is that there's no reason to eat so little. You'll be able to lose weight eating MUCH more. So eat more! That will make it SO MUCH EASIER for you to stick with your diet over the long haul.
  • 2 weeks, 2 pounds a week. witch is fine but inital weight loos it supost to be alot. so im just scared its gunna go down.
  • I would bump it up and see if you get the same or better results over another week. 1200 minimum. But even 1500 initially.

1000 calorie diet would be so hard to maintain for any length of time. Or at least it would be for me.

    Let us know.
  • Have never tried it before, but good luck on reaching ur goal (Y)

That is not 1000 cals. It is 760 cals. I eat 2 times that much and I usually lose 2 lbs a week. I would be an unbearable crank if I ate that little.

On any typical day I eat btwn 1200 - 1800 cals. With an average of 1500 cals a day. I am eating in a way that I feel I can sustain for the rest of my life. This is not a diet for me, but a lifestyle change.
  • When I was your weight, I lost weight fairly easily on about 1800 calories a day. Remember that, as you lose weight, you will usually need to drop your calories to maintain weight loss; Starting off higher gives you more room to drop from. Give it a shot!
