  • Gluten free favs
I eat Gluten Free, so one of my favs is Chex gf flavors. If you can find it, my absolute fav is vanilla crunch by Natures Path. It has various textures with several whole grains like quinoa, flax seed, and more all flavored with vanilla. Totally organic, 3g of fiber, 7g of sugar. Yum-o!
Available onlinebif cat find in your local grocery.

    Enjoy,
    LFG
  • I sometimes have oatmeal or multi grain cheerios, but usually Optimum Slim cereal by Nature's Path Organics. I think it's a Canadian-based company, though, so I'm not sure if it's available elsewhere. One cup has 210 calories, 2g fat and 9g fibre, and I think it tastes great. I'm finding that 6g or more fibre at breakfast works well for me. But whatever cereal I have, I nearly always add blueberries, strawberries or raspberries. I love my cereal and berries
  • Special K isn't actually that great a cereal because it lacks fiber and has too much sugar.
  • Not cereal, but you did ask what we do for breakfast.

    My usual breakfasts:
-1 piece of whole wheat (or sprouted grain) toast spread with 1/2 oz neufchatel cheese and an egg white cooked with spinach (with or without slices of tomato)
-1 piece of whole wheat toast spread with roasted red pepper spread, a piece of turkey bacon, and an egg white cooked with spinach
-A whole wheat wrap with a veggie egg white omelette with or without cheese inside
-Homemade turkey sausage patties with eggs or egg whites (or an omelette)
    -Cheesy grits
-"Huevos Rancheros" with mixed vegetables cooked with salsa, an egg, on a pan fried sprouted grain tortilla, topped with fresh Parmesan.
  • Kashi has some good ones... I forgot the exact names, but the one with berries in it is really good and there's another Berry Blossom and Vanilla Island kinds that are good. Their granola is good too - chocolate/coconut one is the best, but watch the portion.
