Boobs and weight loss

  • It all depends on the person. The one piece of advice I can give you is to not EVER be lazy about wearing a bra. It might be comfortable to go around the house alone without one, but it can destroy the elasticity of the skin on your breasts, and thus, saggage and horribly loose skin. I learned that lesson too late. Wear a bra to bed, even...it could help a lot to keep them firm as you lose.
  • Mine got a little saggy/deflated when I lost weight. They weren't terrible, but there was definitely some sag. It didn't bother me too badly, though (only 27). If you wear a good bra, you'll never know the difference clothed, and if you're naked, hopefully the person seeing them loves you despite saggy boobs.
  • I'm 23 and I've went from a 36D to a 34B and I still have about 25 lbs to go. I have definitely experienced some sagging and I hate it. I have no kids and I'm only 23...not fair! At this point I don't really have any loose skin that I've noticed, so at least that's something to be happy about. I do know that as soon as I have my children, which will hopefully be happening in the next few years, I am definitely getting a breast lift!
  • Wha! Mine are turning all soft. Not saggy yet because I only just started... but I know I'll loose one cup-size. From B back to A. It's gonna be weird, because I've had B for such a long time!
  • You might think you'd go down to a C, but you never really know how your body will respond to weight loss.

I figured I would go down to a C (I still might, who knows?) but I went from a 40D to a 36DD. My bust measurement went from 44" to 41". So while it decreased, I still went up a cup size because my BAND SIZE decreased. I haven't noticed anything different about my breasts yet (except for the fact that my old bras are too big).

You and I have youth on our side though It's much easier for a twenty-something's body to "recover" after weight loss than it is for someone who is much older.
  • I heard that if you do pectoral building exercises, like the menfolk do, it can actually build hard muscle beneath the soft, fatty breast tissue, which keeps them perkier and fuller. Might be worth trying out.
  • My boobs have stayed proportionally the same, meaning the band size shrunk but my cup size did now. Now, a 36 DD is a larger cup than a 34 DD, so I *know* I did lose some boobage, but they have essentially stayed the same. They are still pretty darn full- I suspect I'm the type of woman whose boobs are primarily made of mammary gland and not fat.

I've been using Mama Mio Boob Tube for the past month and a half and love it! It keeps my skin nice and soft and because my tata's are large, I figure I'll try anything to keep them healthy and happy. They are firmer feeling as well. You can buy it separately, or as a package with exercise instructions to build up your pecs and a skin toner. I opted just to buy the lotion, at a whopping 45 dollars. But, it has lasted me a month and a half and there is still a bunch left in the bottle. I can't say whether this will help someone with a lot of sag as I didn't start at that point, but I thought I'd share.
