I'm probably lucky I don't have children, because I would "dress them funny," and when they were old enough I'd encourage them to dress any way they liked, even if it shocked people. My luck, I'd get a kid who favored three-piece business suits or worse, wanted to dress like everyone else {shudder}.

It's definitely NOT exclusively a "man thing." I consider myself very much "function over form" and don't see anything wrong with putting the baby in whatever is clean and fits. In my mind, there are bigger worries in life.
Hmmm, maybe that's why my sister will no longer let me pick out clothes for my nephews?
