  • good morning,

Debbie - I hope your plans for leaving on Monday work out. You are one busy lady.

Ruth - Will have to check out the strawberries, I love going strawberry picking and hope that this sciatica calms down soon.

Matilda - congratulations on weight loss, hoping you find a solution soon for your parents.

Heidi - enjoy your lady of leisure time.

Twynn - hope you aren't too tired today.

Cyndi - I love asparagus too. Made a cream of asparagus soup the other day but instead of using cream I used low fat laughing cow. It was great.

Karen - I do love hearing from you too.

Pearlrose - you did great on your trip.

I will make a great effort today not to bend down too much. If its not better by next week off to the drs. Thanks to everyone for the congratulations on son's achievement.
    take care
    Sophie
  • Oh my gosh, you're all so fantastic! What a fun bunch of ladies we have here. A bright start to my day. By the way...

I've been enjoying 2 for 1 Blueberries and Rasberries from my local Vons

Teeheehee. I'm 8 days away from my Horse Trials and I'm adding to my shopping list/meal plan every day. Definitely feeling more empowered about that.

Last night I had my first major off plan evening. My young leaders society had a dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings, and I had planned on having the "naked" (unbreaded) chicken tenders. I did, but along with a light beer, a not-as-light beer, and 8 sauce-covered wings. Then we hit 2 bars and I had 2 shots. And a slice of grease-laden pizza. Eeeek! Well, the bright side is that I cultivated some friendships with some people I'd been wanting to get to know better. But I do plan on having a clean-clean-squeaky-clean OP rest of the week before my horse trials. I need to be feeling healthy and in control and proud of myself in order to perform my best (and in order to keep dropping the excess poundage).
  • Painting done (for the day) Yippee

I should be eating lunch but you guys are more entertaining! I'm off to a great thrift store while mom gets her hair cut.

Karen, any chance you're driving through Denver. I assume you're taking DS to college... You could encourage DH to go to REI and you could have tea at Starbucks...and just happen to run into an old friend.

sophie, remind me to share an apple pie recipe with you.

Pearlrose, those 2# will come right off!

FurnaceofAchievement, do you have a "real name" thats shorter? Glad to hear you've been enjoying BB's and RB's (secret abbreviation). I'm headed to the store for organic BC'S. lol

Ok, off with mom. See ya'll later!
  • Ruth, Debbie & Furnace - I take back any nice things I ever said about any of you
I don't mind the cherries and blueberries because I'm only seriously tempted by local fruit. However the farm stand has quarts of strawberries right next to my beloved asparagus and today I am craving something sweet.
  • You Are So Mean!!!

LOL, this is regarding all the LUSCIOUS FRUIT!!!!
  • I was ridiculed by my landlord's brother for my weight. He has a bad attitude to begin with, and I know I should respond with love, 'cause he must have issues to pick on me for no reason, but I want to avoid him at all costs. He lives rent free and is a boy trying to play the role of a man. I pity him. I vented to my psychiatrist, and my friends, e.g. u guys so that makes me feel better. I've lost a pound since my last weigh in. I gotta step it up to make 299 by June 30, wish me luck everyone.

    Love

    Okie aka Bella!

On my "to do" list is mapping out a route; I'm very bad with geography. Maybe on the way home we can take a Denver break My husband went to REI when he was in LA with DS last week! Bought nothing but seemingly the teen rushed him.
  • Good luck, Okie! I know you can do it!

I have one word to say to all of you enjoying your lovely summer fruits -

    PFTTT!
