  • Chix 'n Rice very Filling!
Quote: I just had the Maryland Crab Soup for breakfast. Followed the directions on the package and it's delicious. Hubby wanted some but I wouldn't share.
Chicken and Rice is in the line up for tomorrow.
LOOOOVVVVEEE the Chicken and Rice soup! It really fills me up, and i love the thought of cheating without cheating in that there are a few no-no bits of carrots and peas lurking in the mix! I make it on the stovetop whenever I am really hungry. Sometimes I will only wait 2-2.5 hrs. btw meals, but I am still losing 3-6 lbs. / wk and so this hasn't hampered my progress. 10.5 weeks in, and I've lost 52 lbs.! Best wishes for continued success, and tyvm for your post!

  • Quote: Hi Jay,

I just tried the Maryland Crab soup, and it was very tasty and satisfying. I didn't detect any actual crab in it,
Actually, it has a lot of crab in it, but you may have mistaken it for rice as that's kind of what it looks like. And it really doesn't have a lot of flavor to the meat. I added Old Bay seasoning and salsa. I'm thinking salsa is best for it and the tomato soup. Tomato is my favorite of all.

Guess that just goes to show all of our taste buds are different. It tastes very spicy to me, but I like it! We live right next to a river where we harvest our own fresh blue crabs, and so the "crab" or imitation crab or whatever is in the soup doesn't taste like the crab I know, however I still truly enjoy the soup. Let's just agree to disagree, and concentrate on the bigger picture which is encouraging and supporting all members in their weight loss journeys! Good luck and best wishes to all!!!

  • I doctor all my soups and stews up.

For the stew I add rice vinegar and hot sauce to make hot and sour soup out of it.

For Chili I add pico de gallo from the produce department to it along with hot sauce.

I have found with my micowave 1 minute is all mine need. I just dont rush to take it out. Maybe 15 mins later I go and get it. But I must say, I am a wimp about heat.

I wish I could give all you folks my box of the crab cause I hate it.
