  • Shelby! You can jump in any place, but if you open a new thread and introduce yourself, more people will notice and welcome you to the boards. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you and hearing all about your weightloss journey.

Debbie, a belated Happy Birthday to Kirk! I hope he's having fun with his new music gadget!

Cool and rainy here all day. Days like this make me want to eat all day, and I was wanting comfort food for supper. But I just roasted up a big pan of Popcorn Cauliflower with chickpeas and sauteed a bunch of broccoli rabe, and it really hit the spot. Yum, yum!
  • Welcome to the Forum, all! This is a great place for ideas, support, encouragement, and friendship. It is always easier to go into this with others at your side!

I was almost at 162 this morning, so here is hoping that it will be official for the weekend. I am trying for goal weight by the end of the school year (June 20). The last 10 pounds always seem to take longer - but if I keep dropping a pound a week, I will get there.

    Be well!
  • Good afternoon, ladies. I forgot to let you guys know that I won the photo contest I solicited your votes for. Thanks for your help!!! It's been a busy time in my new position...and not in a good way, unfortunately. I can't really go into it, but let's just say I've already had to put on my hard-@$$ persona. *sigh* I spent last weekend wondering if I made the right decision by accepting the promotion and wondering what the repercussions would be if I backed out. But for now I've decided to stick it out and see what happens. we shall see.

Ruth - Yikes, that sounds like a super scary ride!!!

Twynn - Ooooh, I would have a tough time w/ Chick-fil-a. I worked there when I was in college and it has ALWAYS been one of my favorites. By the way, they serve their grilled chicken sandwiches on whole wheat buns.

Cottage - Sometimes a less exciting day can be a good thing.

Cyndi - YUCK!!! If it makes you feel better, tonight and tomorrow are my "weekend" and then I'm stuck working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

ILRPinkGirl - I'm w/ you on preferring to walk outside instead of on a treadmill. Not that treadmills aren't great, but I love the scenery and the fresh air of a REAL walk. Sending you good vibes for your weigh in!!!

ultimatebea - LOL...good luck getting your house cleaned and keeping it that way. With the muddy cleats it won't last long. You may have to learn him...frying pan to the back of the head might help, LOL!!!

WaistingTime - Awww, that's a really neat idea about the letter for the kids to read on the bus to graduation. What a nice memento!!! I'm sure that you will say what you want just fine. Real heartfelt words don't have to be perfect. Enjoy your play!!!

Pearlrose - No rain here, either.

Schmoodle - Glad you've got your water back...nothing like losing it for a little while to make you realize how much it's taken for granted. Believe me, I know!!! LOL

Lexxiss - Oooh, what a fun gadget!!! I've heard about those machines but never checked into them. There's just something about sliding that vinyl out of the album sleeve and placing the needle on it. Kids these days have NO idea!!!

YeahYeah - Welcome to the daily thread!!! And congratulations on you 2 pound loss!!!

Shellbelle - Welcome to the forum!!! If you stick to the plan and follow it, you WILL see results. You'll be joining our success stories in no time.

As for me...finally broke through my plateau a little bit today and was down 2.5 pounds on the scale!!! I would LOVE to lose 5 more this month and keep it off so I can be at the official 100 pound milestone!!! I've got to pick a before picture to frame and take to my photo shoot (it's scheduled for June 1st). It's going to be my "half way there" pictures.

Okay, it's 2230 hrs and I have yet to have any coffee (I've only been up since 1700, but still)...so I'm off to get me some coffee!!! Goodnight, ladies.
