  • Hi Beachers! I'm a newby and have enjoyed reading your comments!

My husband and I started the diet this week. So far...so good. We spend the evenings in the kitchen cooking together and preparing breakfast and lunch for the next day.

The ladies that I work with have been great...we try to do 5 flights of stairs 3-4 times a day. It is a great little workout.

    Have a good day everyone!
  • Good afternoon,

Just getting on to say hello, the morning flew by. Got everything done yesterday and even got new set of tires on my cars, definitely needed them had almost bald tires.

Today is my Friday, we are doing a mini spring break - we decided to go to Cleveland, Ohio and visit the Hall of Fames- Rock n Roll and Football. DH has been wanting to go and it is only 8 hours versus 16 to New York. So I will not be back on til Tuesday. Definitely will not be Spring Break weather though, I am used to going to Florida and Ohio temps will be around 42 for the whole time we are there.

I got a new cell phone and found a really good app called Restaurants and it gives you all of the nutritional information for almost all Franchise type Restaurants- well definitely help me make better food choice selection- I know my eyes opened wide when I saw how many calories and fat grams there are in some of those dishes. oh my

    Have a great Weekend everyone
  • Well as it turns out I guess you can't just take the test here... There's a pre-pretest assessment, then you have to do 60 hours of classes and tutoring at the community college unless you get an 11.0 or higher on the assessment, with the highest score being 12.9. (No idea how they grade that puppy!) If you get an 11.0 or higher, they waive that 60 hour requirement and let you jump straight to the official pretest, and once you pass it, you can move forward and take the official test! Lots of hoops to jump through! I was pretty excited when I got a 12.9 on the assessment though, ha ha! I haven't lost my touch! Now this means five 2-hour sessions of pretesting, then a big long day full of the official tests to follow... That adds up to leaving my son with a sitter for a lot of time, and I am BRRROOOKKKEEE. I guess we'll see how it plays out! Thanks for the well wishes chickadees! =D

    Amanda

(Oh, and I've been mostly off plan for the past few days but watching calories, so I'm at a total stall, of course. I'm too broke to buy food so I'm mooching off my parents and eating whatever mom is cooking. Bleh! This is why I've been so quiet lately. Within the next week I'll be truckin' again!!!)
  • Late checking in today but had to stop by to at least read all of your posts.

Had a follow up appointment with my Cardiologist today and although it wasn't all good news, I'm ok knowing that for now I'm doing alright and we have a plan to deal with future events. So that's a good thing. He was impressed with my weight loss too!

Ate right and on plan today and that felt good. Didn't walk yesterday nor today as it has poured both days and I'm just sick and tired of slossing through the mud and wet. Creeks and rivers are all over their banks and trees are falling because the ground is just so darn wet. Hoping Spring isn't too far away as I'm so ready for some drying out and sunshine.

See you all in the morning.
