Best tips/tricks/advice for a CC newbie!

  • Maybe start by taking a typical day of what you ate on Weight Watchers and plug it into Sparkpeople, just to see what the calories were that you were eating on Weight Watchers. From there, adjust up or down.

    I had the opposite results, I used Sparkpeople but bounced around with the weight. I joined WW and am down 15 pounds so far.

  • Thank you ladies for your wonderful advice! It is certainly appreciated! I stuck with my 1700 calorie, high protein, low fat "diet" and am beyond thrilled to announce that this week I lost 9 pounds! I know some of it is water weight, but seeing the scale move steadily and drastically when I have fought like heck for 9 weeks on the WW plan just to see a 1 pound drop once every other week (and gain three back the next) I am beyond thrilled!

    I logged the food I have been eating into etools on WW and it's about 8 points+ less then what they gave me as my daily goal and that is NOT including the weekly points and the activity points that you are encouraged to eat. i am almost positive that I was eating anywhere from 2000-2500 cals a day on that plan. It just didn't work for my body. I'm now eating anywhere from 1600-1800 (shooting for 1700) and I feel satsified, healthier, and happier, especially seeing that it DOES work for me.

    Wow! I'm pumped! I can do this on my own! YAY!

    Calorie counting has been the only thing that's worked for me--and its been the easiest diet to stick to!

    That's one of the best things about CC, it's FREE!

    Well, it does cost a little more to buy healthier foods, but still SO much cheaper than a lot of other "plans" out there. (Not to knock people doing those other plans...whatever works is worth the money!), but I'm so glad CC works for me. More $ to buy new clothes in smaller sizes
