  • Hey, chicks. The time change hit me this morning and I did NOT want to get up. I did though, and walked with my walk buddy, and we did the big hill, so feeling proud of myself. I'm eating eggs and turkey bacon - my mom brought me some brown farm eggs, and the yolks of these things are soooo yellow, yum. Weigh in at the doctor's yesterday was not good, but my thyroid hormone levels continue to come down, and I continue to decrease the prednisone, though I won't be completely off it for another month. I have set my sights on the next doctor's appt, 4 weeks from today. I just want to see a loss, even if only a pound. Should be a quiet WFH day today.

Natasha, fingers crossed for your interview.
Cyndi, glad things went smoothly for you yesterday.
Okie, no fair, popping in and teasing us like that. How are you doing?
Oh, Heidi, snow, I'm so sorry. I was kind of glad we got some last week, just so DH could do a little shoveling and not miss the entire winter. But I hope we are done for good now.
Good morning Matilda, cottage, Ruth, Karen.
Kara, so frustrating for you to be held up for paperwork. I hope it comes through quickly.
Pearl, all this talk of spring break makes me feel like I should plan a getaway. Haven't been to NY too many times, but last time we stayed right on Times Square and had a blast going to shows every day, some days 2x.
  • Good Morning

Busy here...mom and nephew stayed over an extra night. When the dinner conversation turned to ribeyes and baked potatoes last night I was so happy that I have learned that it's ok to say no in a polite fashion. I indicated that it sounded "delicious" but please don't buy a steak for me, because I've been eating primarily vegetarian (true) and that there would be PLENTY for me to eat without it. I did share a potato w/mom (my 1 a year now) but added plain yogurt and fresh salsa. When I cleaned up afterwards pitching all the fat and leftover meat I was so happy that I have a voice for my own health.

everyone! I've gotta go check on mom.
  • YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Hi. Busy day today - sorry I've been MIA for a few. Took off work yesterday for the funeral. It was a bundle of mixed emotions: sad for our loss of such a wonderful man, but also joy hearing and sharing stories about him while he was alive. The Mayor of Springfield declared March 15 to be Ralph Nitz Day in his honor. I thought that was really cool.

Was HORRIBLY off plan Saturday and gained 4 lbs from it. FOUR POUNDS. I know not to do it, yet I still do. Sigh. Pure emotional eating. I've been back on track though, and lost 2 of the 4. I'm sitting at 126.8. (Tickie is incorrect.) Hoping to still be able to pull off a miracle by being OP the rest of the month. At least we're only half over....

Anyway, things are busy for me here at work since I was off yesterday. I hope everyone is having a fabulous day!!!

    Lisa
  • Hi everyone. There's been a plane crash at the local airport- a small plane, but still fatalities. Helicopters are hovering overhead like buzzards.

Anyways, was doing well yesterday- today- need to do better, but it's one day at a time. I'm ready to go home though- too bad it's only just after lunch here.
  • Checking in late today but wanted to stop by at least for a minute. I actually took today from exercising and although I didn't eat off plan, I didn't eat three meals so kinda took the day off in that area too. But that being said, I did have a good day. Got my hair cut and a pedicure with bright blue toenails .

OMG (oh my gosh) did we ever have rain yesterday! It poured all day and most of the night. All of our creeks and rivers are over their banks and it's all headed down to the valley and lowlands so hope they will be ready and can handle it without much flooding.

Well, it's late so need to get off here and get to bed. See you all tomorrow.
